Bobble of the Day ” Ben Roethlisberger”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Ben Roethlisberger

Team: Pittsburgh Steelers

Year: 2009

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

There’s not an NFL Sunday that goes by in which barley anyone has a positive thing to say about Big Ben. I’m not saying ESPN and the NFL Network make fun of him and talk bad about him, but it seems not to many people have any nice things to say about him. Yes, did he fuck up with the alleged rape accusation with the girl in a bar bathroom? Should he have ridden a motorcycle at such a young age when a lucrative contract was in front of him? The bottom line is anyone and everyone fucks up. Big Big is beyond those days. He was young and stupid. He’s now got a wife and family and the best wide receiver in the game to throw to every Sunday.

This is Big Ben’s 2009 Super Bowl XLIII championship ring base bobble. It’s definitely a cool bobble but it doesn’t blow the shingles off the fucking roof. It’s a pretty standard bobble that features Roethlisberger in his white jersey with Steeler yellow colored pants. I’d say the facial features are on point with the go-tee that stands out. The base of the bobble is where it’s at. On the top of the base it has the green grass and the white lines of a football field. The ring sits on top with the Steelers logo in front. I totally dig the Super Bowl emblem that says, “Super Bowl Champions”.

Sniper Rating: Nothing to flashy about this one Snipers. It’s a cool one to have if your a Steelers fan or for some reason you like Big Ben and it’s available on Ebay for a shade under $40.00. I think Big Ben’s name could have been spread out across the front of the base instead of off to the side. Not much here folks as Big Ben’s 2009 Super Bowl ring base bobble scores a soft 6.0.

Bobble of the Day “Larry Bird”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Larry Bird

Team: Boston Celtics

Year: 2003

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Fucking Larry Legend man. Who doesn’t like Larry Bird? I don’t care if you’re 11 years old and never saw him play or you’re a 70 year old diehard Laker fan; EVERYONE loves Larry. He single handily turned the game of basketball around in the 1980’s. Just a young buck from French Lick Indiana who ended up being one of the greatest 25 players ever to play in the NBA. Let alone his shooting range, the fucking guy was tough as nails and went to battle with MJ and the Laker dynasty teams.

This one is a 2003 “Hardwood Classics” Ticket Base that is not easy to find. I love the green Celtics colors on his jersey and the vintage short shorts. All players used to wear their shorts super high back in the 80’s. I think this Larry bobble is the best resemblance of facial and hair features as it looks exactly like him. Newer versions of Bird bobbles are pretty bad in looking like him.

The base is the highlight of this bobble as it displays an actual game ticket to an NBA game. It’s got the Celtics logo and their mascot “Lucky” on the left side and “Hardwood Classics”  and the NBA logo on the right side. On the upper part of the base is gives a section, row number and seat number representing a ticket.

Sniper Rating: Everything screams “Homerun” bobble here Snipers. There’s a reason people call him “Larry Legend” as he was one of the best at his position. This is a definite classic bobble that must be obtained by any collector or NBA fan. Celtics’ bobbles are hard to find as manufacturer’s never really got into making to many bobbles of the players on the C’s to date. This one is very sturdy, has great colors to it and the stance of Larry taking the ball to the hoop with his left hand is classic. No doubt Larry and his ticket base bobble scores a true 9.5.

PS. I love the box because it has catchy words printed all over the place that makes you feel like you scored an absolute winner. It says, “Vintage”, “Hardwood Classics”, “Limited Edition Collectible” etc.  Get this one Snipers!

Bobble of the Day “Stephen Curry”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Stephen Curry

Team: Golden State Warriors

Year: 2015-2016

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

So the Warriors won the whole damn thing back in 2015 and Steph was the man. He really made a name for himself with him showing off his handles, his long ass range shooting 3’s and just having the bad ass swagger.

As soon as Golden State won the title, FOCO came out with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson exclusive bobbles. In this double series, since there’s only two players they made, the main focus is on the players “real fabric” jerseys. The Warrior players tossed on the championship t-shirt and hat after they won and proceeded to do interviews. The “real fabric” t-shirt is kinda dope on this bobble. I dig it. It’s different. Steph’s shorts are the away colors the Warriors wear which is pretty standard. The all black sneaks and socks mesh well with the all black knee braces. The hat is a unique affect as I typically don’t see Steph rock hats to often. The base is the “newspaper” version and says, “Golden State Warriors win NBA Title!” which is fresh as hell. Also, as i forgot to mention is this is larger bobble than the regular 8 inches as this one is creeping towards the 10inch range. Therefore, the trophy Chef Curry is holding is a big larger.

Now to the negative. Listen, I get the whole excitement thing when you win and the screaming and all. I REALLY WISH the manufacturer did not make the facial feature as Steph screaming. I like it on other bobbles but it just doesn’t fit this one. It looks like a dick is ready to be inserted in there for god’s sake. They should have done without it.

Sniper Rating: Overall, this is a cool one that HAS to be added to your collection. Steph Curry will go down as one of the All-Time greats. Mark my words. I’m talking like top 8 players to ever set foot on an NBA floor. This is his first ring/championship and this one is an extreme exclusive. You will regret not scoring this one as time passes. Given the fact that the mouth should NOT be open, the Chef receives a strong 9.0 rating.

Bobble of the Day “Cam Newton”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Cam Newton

Team: Carolina Panthers

Year: 2016

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

So the Bobblehead Hall of Fame made an exclusive Cam Newton “Dab” bobble in late summer and it was a fresh as hell one. An exclusive company made this one and it’s very similar to the white jersey version one. Cam’s standing rocking his famous “Dab” pose and wearing Carolina’s baby blue colored jersey. The silver shiny pants look dope as hell as they match the silver lining in his jersey near the shoulder. The biggest difference in this Cam “Dab” bobble is the base. The color combinations of a dark charcoal/black sit nice on the base. In raised letters, it says, “Cam” in huge letters and right under it imprints “Carolina Panthers”.

Sniper Rating: Similar to the one Bobblehead Hall of Fame made, the only real difference is the dark base and the different colored jersey and pants. I would actually pay big bucks if this one came as a 12 incher! Now that would look fresh sitting on a mantle with a fire going in late December. Cam’s having an off year this season but it doesn’t affect his signature “Dab” pose. Therefore, this exclusive “Dab” bobble scores a 7.5.

Bobble of the Day “Cam Newton” Superman

Bobble of the Day

Player: Cam Newton

Team: Carolina Panthers

Year: 2012

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Manufacturer’s have gone ballistic over who can come up with the most unique Cam bobble. You have the dab in two different versions and you have his first crazy bobble which is the “Superman” Cam bobble.

This one came out back in 2000? as Cam literally called himself Superman and when he scored a TD he would pretend open his jersey like Superman does. Is it cocky? Yes. Is it a douche bag move? Yes. Have other players in different sports already done this? Yes. Overall, the meaning is stupid but the bobble is cool as shit. Right off the bat you notice the arms and hands opening up the coat to show off his #1 on his Panther jersey. The color combinations of gray, pink, black, white and baby blue add a lot of flavor to this one. The base is in the shape of a panther which is an added twist. And yes, the letters of Cam Newton in white are raised on the front which I commend to the highest heavens.

Sniper Rating: Cam gets a bad rap a lot for his actions and rightfully so. He, at times, can be a pompous asshole which fans hate. But one thing anybody can hate on is this “Superman” Cam bobble. It just screams winner and the fact that he has the Clark Kent glasses on makes this an absolute must have regardless of the price of it. Overall, a great player that needs an attitude adjustment but an even better exclusive bobblehead. Superman Cam scores a 9.0

Bobble of the Day “Eli Manning”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Eli Manning

Team: New York Giants

Year: 2014

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Eli Manning often gets a bad rap for his demeanor on the sidelines and even during games. He facial expressions, and lack of leadership has critics cringing their teeth as well as fans. The fact of the matter is that Eli is a proven winner. Ya, what if David Tyree didn’t catch that ball during the Giants first Super Bowl win under Manning? It doesn’t matter. Eli has won two rings and NEVER misses a game. I’ve actually had Eli in previous years on my fantasy squad and he’s always been healthy which you can’t say a lot for most starting quarterbacks.

This duel Championship bobble was an exclusive piece and only limited to 504 made. FOCO did a very good job replicating his face as it looks just like Eli. The uniform is pretty standard with Giants gray, red and white colors. The base represents Big Blue with the Super Bowl Championship sticker letters along with Eli’s two Super Bowl rings. Having the two rings right smack in front of the base solidifies how special this one is. I also dig the two MVP trophies he’s holding as Eli was the man in those Super Bowls. Lastly, I commend the manufacturer by having Eli’s name in raised letters on the front. A+ job!

Sniper Rating: Whether you like Eli or not this is a fresh bobble. It’s got a shit ton of character and the fact the there’s 4 total trophies is a sure fire must have. Any Gmen fan would love having this in their collection. Given the uniqueness, the color combinations and the pinpoint accuracy of his facial features, Eli and his two Super Bowl victories score a 8.5 on this one.
