Bobble of the Day “Louisville Cardinal Bird”

Bobble of the Day

Mascot: Cardinal Bird

Team: Louisville Cardinals

Year: 2016

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

The Louisville Cardinals man. They have been on a tear the past 8 years or so and are always ranked in the top 10 in the country t seems. I have the upmost respect for the Cards even the Rick Pitino can often been seen as a Super Douche Bag. Although, he recruits legit players and he gets the absolute most out of them and that’s why they’re so good.

Let’s rap about the bobble a little. The base is shaped like a Cardinals’ head and sitting right on top of the base is the Cardinals logo. I love the white raised lettering that says, “Louisville Cardinals” as it stands out against the red colored base. The overall Cardinal is fresh looking mascot with red feathers and a sharp looking yellow beak.

Sniper Rating: Louisville always puts up a fight but I don’t think they are in the Duke, UNC or Kansas category, but they are close. Very close. In addition to this flashy looking bobble, I love the box very much. Actually, on the entire series of these, they all come in a bright colored yellow box with different logo’s surrounding on all sides. You can’t go wrong with this Louisville Cardinal bobble as they are always a top program in NCAA hoops and the mascot is unique. The red Cardinal of Louisville scores a 9.0.

Bobble of the Day “Tom Brady”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Tom Brady

Team: New England Patriots

Year: 2016

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

There’s so many Brady bobbles out there, but this one might take home the grand prize. When FOCO announced this exclusive, my eyeballs almost popped out of my socket. I knew I had to score this one and it’s a fucking dandy.

The first thing that catches the eye are the 4 shiny silver championship rings on the base. They just shine all over the place and if the Pats win another one, there won’t be any room to fit a 5th ring for god’s sake. The base is all chromed out with navy blue raised letters that say his name. On top is the Patriots logo engraved into the base which is bad ass.

Now let’s talk about the stance. FOCO made it a point to make this bobble special and they nailed it. Brady is portraying like he’s at the line of scrimmage calling an audible and pointing at the defense. Well done FOCO. Let’s face it, Brady has the best looking hair in the game. FOCO killed it with the hair as it lays fucking perfect on his dome. They could have put a helmet on him but that would hide the pretty boy’s hair. I also dig the eye black under his eyes as a added feature.

Sniper Rating: The uniform is pretty standard Patriot colors but the stance, rings and base really make this bobble a hot item. If you’re a Brady fan, Patriot fan or even just an NFL follower, this one belongs in your collection. I’ve said it before that Tom will go down as a top 2 QB to ever play in the NFL and this is definitely one that has to be in your cabinet to display.

Mr. Brady and his very exclusive bobble scores a 9.5.

Bobble of the Day “Kobe Bryant”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Kobe Bryant

Team: Los Angeles Lakers

Year: 2013

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

So flat out, this has to be the sickest Kobe Bobble ever made right? A true legend and he’s rocking the jersey pose to signify that he’s the shit. I love the base that is in the shape of the letters “LA” and of course Kobe’s name letters are raised. Kobe’s 5 Championship rings sit sturdy right in front and looks fresh as hell. Kobe’s trunks and jersey are both Laker yellow and are outlined in purple and white colors.

Now to the attention grabber of this bobble. Kobe’s pose is legit as he’s holding up his jersey like a boss. Everyone knows that pose after his 5th championship title and it’s awesome. FoCo did one hell of a job one designing this one.

Sniper Rating: I find it very fascinating how our little friends over in China can stretch out the resin material of his jersey with his arms connected to it. It mind boggles me but if you see this bobble in hand, you’ll know what I’m taking about. This is a killer bobble as Kobe’s definitely a top 5 player ever to play in the NBA. Given the fact of his jersey tug pose, the 5 Championship rings and the base as an outline of “LA”, this exclusive Kobe bobble without a doubt scores a 9.0. Without question this NEEDS to be in your collection.

Bobble of the Day “Kris Bryant”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Kris Bryant

Team: Chicago Cubs

Year: 2016

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Finally the Cubbies won a World Series and fans all over the globe couldn’t wait to get their hands on the set of Championship bobbles. They practically made the entire team and of course Clark, the famous mascot.

Here comes the boom! So many fans and so many pre-orders were made for these bobbles and that’s where the ship sinks. They were made very, very poor. The quality is garbage and our friends over in China rushed making these. I’m sure there was close to 20,000 made of each player as a result of so many collector’s wanting them.

First things first. The trophies are of shit quality. The gluing is horrible and when I received my set, almost all of the trophies were cracked off. They were just dangling in the box. Every logo and name are stickers. There’s no raised lettering and that was a good way FOCO could save money. Shame on you FOCO. The Cubs finally win a title and you half ass the most sought out product by fans by putting shitty stickers everywhere? Half of the players I got, their sticker names were crooked and peeling off. Many of the hats have paint chips and massive smudges.

There’s very few positives to this bobble, but one that stands out to me is the box. Yup, that’s right, the fucking box. The checkered design with the Cubs logo looks very fresh and unique.

Sniper Rating: I’m stumped and don’t know what to say. Congrats Cubs but your 2016 World Series Champ bobbles were made with piss poor quality. I’m not saying shy away from buying the set as you should because who knows when they will win another title, but don’t expect a sturdy quality product. I’m very disappointed and literally nothing can be done. It’s to late and we’re all stuck with these shitty bobbleheads. Another problem I have, is FOCO is literally over saturating the bobblehead world with all types of Cubs bobbles. They’re coming out with a complete set of “Newspaper” bobbles and now they have “Fly The W” bobbles. We get it. The Cubs won and every fan is happy, but that doesn’t mean to kill the market by coming out with every variation of a bobblehead known to man. It’s stupid and nonsense and more importantly it’s making our pockets empty. But you don’t care FOCO, all you want is your money and we’ll keep buying.

Kris Bryant and the entire team set including the manager (Joe Maddon) and Clark the mascot score a 4.0 rating. If it wasn’t for the box, this set would be fucked and then we’re looking at a 2.0 rating.

Shame on you FOCO.

Anyone want to drive by FOCO’S headquarters in New Jersey and do a drive by?

Don’t worry FOCO, we’ll still continue to buy your products.

Bobble of the Day “Bo Jackson”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Bo Jackson

Team: Oakland Raiders

Year: 2016

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Bo knows this and Bo knows that. Well, we all know that Bo does a bobblehead. It’s fucking Bo Jackson man. Who doesn’t like Bo? He played football, baseball you name it. He is good at everything he does. I’m sure he’s good at taking shits and fucking if you ask any of his former ladies he’s been with.

He played football, baseball you name it. He is good at everything he does. I’m sure he’s good at taking shits and fucking for crying out loud. I’m sure if you ask his former aides he’s been with they’ll say the same. It’s about time any manufacturer came out with a Bo Jackson football bobble, and here it is folks.

We first have to start off with the base. FOCO went all out and raised the letters in his name and also put a photograph of Bo in his playing days. The bottom tip of the base is outlined in gold which looks fresh as fuck. Then we have Bo in his silver Raider pants, and all black jersey. A mixture of black socks and elbow pads mixes in quite well. I had my doubts when I received this one that his face wouldn’t look like Bo at all. Well, I was wrong. It looks exactly like Bo and the fact that they put a “flat top” look to his hair is an added plus.

Sniper Rating: There’s not much to discuss here Snipers. It’s been a long time coming for Bo’s first football bobble and regardless whether or not your a Raider fan or not, this has to be in your collection. He will go down as probably one of the top 5 athletes every to play a professional sport and this one’s a can’t miss. Given the fact that it’s Bo Jackson and the superb detail, this bobble scores a 9.5 without hesitation.

Bobble of the Day “Ralph Macchio” Karate Kid

Bobble of the Day

Actor: Ralph Macchio aka The Karate Kid

Team: New York Islanders

Year: 2016

Manufacturer: BD&A

Holy smokes! Someone finally came out with a Karate Kid bobblehead. I’ve been waiting for years for this one to come out. I did some recon and found out that Ralph Macchio is a huge Islanders fan and someone from the front office must have contacted him to do a bobble. It’s just cool in many ways. I literally grew up watching the first karate kid and is a sure classic film. There’s no doubt that he was going to kick Johnny’s ass in the final scene.

Now if you haven’t seen the movie, good ole Daniel Larusso does this weird ass, one leg up stance and kicks Johnny right in the kisser to win the match.

This Bobblehead is very unique and is flooded with detail. The colors are bright and the lettering in his name on the base and the Islander letters are awesome. Of course I’m saying this is because it’s raised. There’s no half ass stickers that they threw on. The manufacturer went the extra mile and put some thought into this one.

Sniper Rating: The signature leg kick that he holds before he knocks Johnny into next week is what makes this Bobblehead so special. The fact that the leg and head both bobble make this a double bobblehead. Whether you saw this movie or not, this is a one of a kind. Even the box is detailed with logos and photographs. This is definitely a must have in your collection. The Karate Kid scores a solid 9.0.
