Bobble of the Day “Texas Tech Red Raider”

Bobble of the Day

Mascot: Red Raider

Team: Texas Tech

Year: 2014

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

So typically Texas Tech lies in the shadow of University of Texas being the Longhorns, for years now. Everything in Texas regarding football is always about the Longhorns. I’m here to tell you that the Red Raiders don’t fuck around and especially not when it comes to their mascot.

Red Raider himself is a Wild West character with an oversized cowboy hat. He carries two guns which he fires into the air after Texas Tech scores. I mean, how bad ass is that, which leads us into our Bobble of the Day.

You can’t go wrong with your college mascot having two pistols by the waist ready to pop off when the Red Raiders score a TD. Detail, detail and details is what this springy bobble head is about. The base is a standard silver color mixed in with the TT Raiders logo on the springy. The pants are dark black with the two guns sitting by his waist. The head and mustache are goofy looking features but at the same time are cool as shit. It’s literally a cartoon character but as a mascot and better yet, on a bobblehead!

Sniper Rating: I don’t have any affiliation with Texas Tech. The only time I pay any attention to them is if I’m betting on them on a Saturday. Texas Tech isn’t the reason why I added this Bobble to my collection. The detail and attractiveness is the reason I got it. It’s killer, and it just looks awesome. It’s a feel good bobblehead that if you display it correctly in your curio, heads will turn. You know when you have this in your collection that you’re no longer fucking around. I mean come on, the Red Raider pointing to the air with the gun signal isn’t hard? Two pistols on deck on the hips isn’t legit? Get this one immediately Snipers. Red Raider the mascot scores a 8.5.

PS. The box is just plain old black with no detail so that takes away a bit of a “Wow” factor.

Bobble of the Day “Ezekiel Elliott”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Ezekiel Elliott

Team: Dallas Cowboys

Year: 2016

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

We all know how nasty Zeke is as he lead the NFL in rushing this year. It’s to bad we couldn’t see more of him as the Packers shoved it down the Cowboy’s throats. The dude is an absolute beast and yes, his offensive line is the real deal, but he still has to make moves and cuts.

Today’s bobble features Zeke as the “Class of 2016”. The base is the shit because it’s got his name in raised letters and it’s outlined by a gold color which is pretty sick. It reads, “Class of 2016” in a aqua looking color which blends in well with the silver base. In addition, it has the NFL Draft logo mixed in as well. Underneath those stickers, FOCO put a replica football field with yardage lines which is super unique.

His uniform is standard silver, blue and white which really pops. Zeke’s stance is fresh as hell as he’s in “rushing mode” and ready to pick up a 30 yard gain. The facial features are on point as well as his hair. FOCO did a very good job replicating his face which always makes a bobble more likable.

Sniper Rating: As of now there aren’t to many Zeke bobbleheads out there and this will become rare very soon. If he stays healthy and that o-line continues to be this dominate, your looking at an All-World running back that will shatter all kinds of records. Is it the most attractive bobble in the world? No. It’s a sharp looking one and one that you WANT to have. All-time players that have rookie bobbles usually spike up in value pretty damn quick. Get your mitts on this one immediately and enjoy the ride. You heard it first Snipers. Zeke and his “Class of 2016” rookie bobble scores a respectable 8.0.

Bobble of the Day “Peyton Manning”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Peyton Manning

Team: Indianapolis Colts

Year: 2007

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

The sheriff! He’s back and this bobble is ridiculous. This came out right after Manning guided the Colts to a Super Bowl victory. Right off the bat the light blue base sits a colorful baby blue with the silver coin on the right side. Peyton’s letters in front are raised letters which I love along with the Super Bowl logo right on top of the base. Manning’s stance is also bad ass as he’s looking like he’s ready to throw the deep ball to Reggie Wayne down the sidelines.

Sniper Rating: All signs point to a special bobble right here. The detail within the base, Manning being a NFL legend and the colors stand out the most. The box is full of colorful details to go along with only a few thousand were made of this one. If you have the opportunity, add this one to your football collection of bobbles. You can never go wrong with the sheriff leading your NFL collection. Peyton and his Colts Super Bowl bobble scores a 9.0 rating.

Bobble of the Day “Tom Brady”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Tom Brady

Team: New England Patriots

Year: 2015

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

So this is the 3rd or 4th Brady I’ve highlighted as the “Bobble of the Day” and before you all think I’m on his dick, take a step back and realize why there’s so many Brady bobbles out there. The guy is a living legend for god’s sakes. What can’t he do?

I dig this one a lot as it features Brady as Super Bowl XLIX Champion with T-Shirt/Hat 4X Ring Base and the towel around him. The detail in this one is insane. He’s got the 4 Super Bowl rings right in front to go along with the silver football in hand. In addition, Tom is rocking the Super Bowl t-shirt and hat after the big win. I like how the towel says, “Super Bowl Champions”. Of course he’s raising his hand with the #1 finger up portraying he’s a boss! I also like how the manufacturer put the eye-black under his eyes.

Sniper Rating: This one has to be in my top 2 of all-time Brady bobbles I have in my collection. This one by far has the most detail and it stands out like crazy, He may go on and win another 3 rings by the time his career is over, but it’s going to be tough to top this one. All signs point to a winner right here Snipers and he deserves it and you deserve this in your Curio cabinet whether you hate him or not. Brady will go down as a top 2 quarterback to ever play in the NFL and you don’t want to miss the opportunity to add this to your collection. Brady scores a 9.5 for this gem.

Bobble of the Day “Joe Paterno”

Bobble of the Day

Coach: Joe Paterno

Team: Penn State

Year: 2005

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Alright there’s no need to get into the shit mess that happened at Penn State in recent years. We all know Joe Pa looked the other way and didn’t saying about the scumbag Sandusky. It’s all kinds of fucked up but we’re here to talk bobbles and believe it or not this is a good one.

No one can deny Joe Pa was a legendary coach as people in Happy Valley worship him. This bobble stands out because Joe Pa is standing on artificial grass and is decked out from head to toe. He’s rocking the khaki pants, shirt, tie and of course the Penn State jacket. I love how FOCO put on the dark shades because that’s what Paterno always wears. His facial features are on point and he’s got the dark slick back hair look.

Sniper Review: There’s no denying that what Joe Pa did was wrong hence that’s why the university took down his famous statue on campus. This one needs to be in your collection. I cannot tell you how many times people come down to the bobble cave and comment on it. Granted, it’s not always the best comments considering what happened, but people talk about it. It’s a piece of history and that’s the way you should look at it. Joe Pa and his legendary career bobble scores a firm 8.5 rating.

Bobble of the Day “Aaron Rodgers”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Aaron Rodgers

Team: Green Bay Packers

Year: 2012

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Can we all put to rest that Rodgers has the most talent at his position in the NFL? Ya, Brady has the rings and Brees always leads the league in yards thrown but Rodgers has the skill set to destroy those two QB’s. This one is special because Rodgers is the first NFL QB to throw for 4,000 plus yards in his first two seasons in the NFL. Brett Favre who? Rodgers jumped right in and has the Packer faithful forgetting about Brett Favre pretty damn fast.

The 4,000 yards emblem in the front is the first thing that stands out on this one. It’s just screaming attention. His stance is legit as he’s ready to throw a seed to Donald Driver or Greg Jennings. I’ve always loved the Packer colors of bright yellow and green. There’s a tremendous amount of detail as his towel and hand warmer around the waist is an added plus.

Sniper Rating: This one is very rare Snipers. It was only limited to #500 and they went fast. Yes, does Rodgers have a lot of bobbles out there in the bobblehead world? Yes, but this one put him on the scene as the league’s best QB. 4,000 yards in anyone’s first 2 seasons is incredible. Get this one quickly if you can find it as it’s worthy of a 9.5 rating.
