Bobble of the Day “Blake Griffin”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Blake Griffin

Year: 2012

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Everyone knows how good Blake is and even if your not a Clippers fan, you know who the heck the guy is. He won the Rookie of the Year back in 2012 and also made the All-Star game as a rookie. The last rookie to start and All-Star game was Yao Ming back in 2003. Not only did Griffin win the ROY and start the All-Star game, but he won the slam dunk contest in front of his hometown fans at the Staples Center. He jumped over the car and dunked which catapulted him to win the crown as dunk champ.

Now this bobble is very cool in many ways. The geometrical base is a fresh look that has the Clippers logo on top along with his number #32. Along the bottom sides of the base the colors red and blue mix well together. His name is raised letters which is a plus but it’s hard to read. FOCO definitely should have made it white for it to pop a little more. The home uni is laced with blue and red Clipper colors and the Rookie of the Year trophy is as dope as it gets. Blake’s facial features are on point with no complaints there. Lastly, the back 2012 “Rookie of the Year” emblem displays a nice finishing touch to a well thought out bobble.

Sniper Rating: Blake seems always to have excellent surrounding players around him but the Clips can never get deep into the playoffs. That Wester Conference is a bitch with Houston, San Antonio and Dallas for many years interrupted the Clippers plans to win a title. Who the hell knows if Blake ever wins a ring with the Clips. All I know is not to many bobbles of Mr. Griffin were ever made so this one stands above the rest. Blake and his ROY bobble score a 8.0 rating.

Bobble of the Day “Clayton Kershaw”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Clayton Kershaw

Team: Los Angeles Dodgers

Year: 2015

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

This well in deed might be my favorite Kershaw bobblehead. Fuck SGA’s. This one has it all. Kershaw year after years seems to just be winning every Cy Young award and sooner or later bobblehead manufacturer’s will run out of room to display all of the awards on one given bobblehead.

This one is as rugged, hardcore as they come. It highlights Clayton winning the MVP and 3X time Cy Young award winner. The base is so wide it literally takes up the size of 2 bobbleheads. The all black base outlined with the silver Cy Young awards is nasty and the fact that FOCO raised the letter’s in his name is killer. I absolutely love the fact that he’s wearing the royal blue cleats that go perfectly with the blue jacket and hat. Nothing fancy with the baseball pants as they are a standard white with no stripes down the side. In his right arm he’s holding his MVP award and his other Cy Young award in the left arm. The blue jacket is the freshest thing I’ve seen on a baseball bobble because you can tell it’s Clayton’s off day and he’s not pitching. He’s taking a breather and the collar goes way up the neck and of course it’s long sleeved.

Sniper Rating: I clearly don’t think FOCO could have done a better job with the facial features because his scruffy beard and long hair that comes out of the back of his hat are on POINT. Excellent job FOCO. You don’t need me to tell you this needs to be in your collection. Limited to only 500 made, this is a one of a kind bobble of the great Kershaw. The best arm in the Major’s along with his shit load of awards scores a 10.0 rating without looking back.

Bobble of the Day “Kemba Walker”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Kemba Walker

Team: Charolette Hornets

Year: 2015

Manufacturer: Match-Up Promotions

Kemba Snipers! So I’ll start off by saying I hold a soft spot for Kemba as he went to Uconn(Where I went) and he’s the fucking man. What he did for the Huskies was incredible and I’ve been following this cat since he graduated from Storrs. He’s sleek, smooth and he can do everything. Would I take Chris Paul, and Kyrie and a bunch over him? Yes, but he’s making a legit statement in the NBA.

The Hornets came out with this beauty back in 2015. They have Kemba in a driving to the lane pose and it’s flooded with colors. The base shows a bball court on the top with the Hornets logo sitting pretty. Around the base is outlined in Hornet purple and white with Kemba’s name in a teal color, which is fresh as hell. The uniform has the previous 3 colors stated and the Hornets name and his name and number in raised letters. He looks a little bit older given they gave him a long go-tee but I can’t complain.

Sniper Rating: I’ve had a lot of Snipers message me regarding this bobble as it’s a little bit of a tough find on ebay and deservingly so. For this giveaway to fans, the lines were down the street to get in to this game and I think 15,000 were handed out. There’s no question this belongs in your collection as Kemba is a rising star in this league and will be for the future years. Without a doubt, this one scores a solid 9.0 rating.

Bobble of the Day “Lebron James”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Lebron James

Team: Miami Heat

Year: 2012

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Fucking Lebron man. What can’t this guy do? I love this bobble in every fashion as it depicts winning the title for the Heat back in 2012. It’s absolutely flooded with detail so let’s get after it.

The base has a unique geometrical design to it that reads, “XV” and a picture of the championship trophy. The King’s name is raised letters in white with the base being all red which is flashy. The kicks, socks and shorts are pretty basic but the championship Miami Heat t-shirt is a good look. The championship gray hat is a typical feature as any team that wins a title, the players toss on the flat brimmed hat.

Sniper Rating: Bron is holding 2 trophies, one being the Finals MVP and the other being the Championship trophy. I love that the NBA makes the Finals MVP trophy a shiny silver color as opposed to the all gold trophy as it’s a power move. When you win the MVP you want to stand out from the rest and Lebron is certainly doing that on this bobble. A hard to find Lebron bobble but well worth it if you find one to say the least. King James and his 2012 Finals MVP/Championship trophy bobble scores a sure fire 9.5.

Bobble of the Day “The Coyote”

Bobble of the Day

Mascot: The Coyote

Team: San Antonio Spurs

Year: 2008

Manufacturer: Unknown

The Coyote man! What’s better than your team mascot being a coyote? Spurs fans have been used to the Coyote running game on and off the court at charity events and what not. Diehard fans appreciate what the Coyote does each game to get the fans riled up and more importantly, the Coyote himself has been there for all the championships the Spurs have won in recent years.

The first thing that stands out is the stance the Coyote is portraying. He’s just standing on the base with his finger in the air like a boss! He’s rocking the #2 jersey and the bright green eyes is an attractive feature. The super bright red tongue might be a little much but no one can complain.

Sniper Rating: I wish the base was a different color because it clashes to close to the brown fur on his legs. His name is raised on the front of the base but it’s difficult to read. The font is off to me for some reason. Maybe they shouldn’t have made the letters all caps?

Overall, you can’t go wrong with this bobble in your collection and especially if your a diehard Spurs fan. The coyote has been through thick and thin with this team as they have battled for the title pretty much every season. The box is fully colored and has a glossy feel to it. The bright colors stand out and the photos of the Coyote are critical. The Spurs famous mascot scores a respectable 7.5 rating.

Bobble of the Day “Stephen Curry”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Stephen Curry

Team: Golden State Warriors

Year: 2016

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Ever since the Warriors got Steph and they started to shatter records, there’s been a huge overkill of Curry bobbles. When they won the title, FOCO produced a shit ton of them and many other exclusives were made. You know my opinion regarding overkilled bobbles, but I truly feel this one is warranted. 73 wins in one single NBA season? That’s a gigantic accomplishment and that’s why a 73 win season bobble was needed.

This is a pretty basic pose bobble as Steph is standing on a colorful square base which reads, “73 Gold Standard”. The bright yellow and royal blue colors really pop and Steph’s name is of raised letters on the front in yellow. The shorts to me look a tad bit short and reminds me of the John Stockton days. The t-shirt that reads, “73 Wins-The Gold Standard” is fresh as hell.

Sniper Rating: I dig the fact that Steph’s holding the ball as it’s a classic look for a bobblehead of this caliber. No complaints with the face or hair as it looks just like him. Several players were made in this series which include, Klay, Green, and Igudola if I’m not mistaken. I only purchased a case of Curry’s because they will only go up in value. Without a doubt Chef Curry and the 73 Wins bobble scores a solid 8.0 rating.
