Bobble of the Day “Enrico Palazzo” Naked Gun Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Actor: Enrico Palazzo

Team: Akron Rubberducks

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Destroyer Promotional Products

If you haven’t seen the movie “Naked Gun” then you either must live under a rock or your just a moron. A crazy good movie of good ole Leslie Nielsen trying to uncover a plan to assassinate Queen Elizabeth, who happens to visit the United States. Nielsen who plays “Enrico Pallazo” goes way undercover as a MLB umpire and his antics crack everyone up. I’m very pleased the Rubberducks highlighted such a dynamic character and overall kick ass movie.

Throughout the game, Enrico gets a hard on by calling strikes that are in the dirt, over the catchers head and when he calls a strike 3 on a batter the fans go crazy. He loves the attention and applause from the fans. Although, when he tries to delay the game he calls a ball on every pitch.

Enrico, within this bobble is giving the pitcher a called strike in a famous pose. As always, the Rubberducks use a “Homeplate” base as well as Enrico’s name, which is in white raised letters. He’s rocking the black umpire chest protector with the light blue undershirt, which is pinpoint detail. Speaking of detail, the umpire mask is a clean as they come as it’s got silver brackets that holds the mask in place. Well done Destroyer.

Sniper Rating: Enrico’s white hair absolutely makes this bobblehead. Anyone can identify Enrico by his full, thick, white hair and the Rubberducks nailed this one for sure. The smile with his pure white teeth and blue eyes is an added plus to this SGA.

Overall, this movie themed bobble is as top notch as they get. Killer design to an epic movie. Add this one to your movie bobble collection and don’t turn back. They are going for $40.00 and change on Ebay and will NOT be easy to score, come this time next year. Enrico Palazzo scores a no brainer 9.0.

Bobble of the Day “Troy Aikman” Exclusive Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Player: Troy Aikman

Team: Dallas Cowboys

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles (Clark Toys)

Most of you young guns see Aikman on Fox as an NFL analyst, but have never actually saw him play. The dude was an absolute boss for the Cowboys who won 3 Super Bowl Championships for the Dallas faithful. In addition, he was a 6 time Pro Bowler who dominated the position of QB.

Once again, the fellas over at Clark Toys brought the heat with this exclusive bobble. First and foremost, Troy is in his victory pose with both fists clenched as his arms are raised. The 3 Super Bowl rings surround the front of the base which are highly detailed with shiny diamonds, which is a killer feature. The base itself is a circular design with the Cowboys “Star” logo on the top of the base. I also love the fact that Clark’s designed Aikman’s name in raised navy blue letters against the front of the base.

Sniper Rating: This bobble is hands down as detailed as they come. You can see the slightest crinkles on the bottom of the jersey that’s tucked into Aikman’s pants which means a lot of time was put into this exclusive. In addition, the facial features with Troy’s mouth and hair design are pinpoint, and look superb.

For $39.99, this one’s a no brainer of the 3X Super Bowl Champion. Not only do Cowboy fans need to add this bobble to their collection, but all NFL fans as well. Display this proudly on Sunday’s, as this will create chatter when you have guests over to watch the game. Troy Aikman and his exclusive bobble scores a 10.0.

P.S. This one’s limited to only #750 and they will sell out quick!

Bobble of the Day

Coach: Mike Ditka

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Mike friggin Ditka Snipers. What’s there not to like about this guy? The guys over at Clark Toys didn’t hold back on creating this exclusive not one bit.

A solid 8 inch bobble celebrating the Chicago Bears 1985 Championship of the famous coach Mike Ditka. If you want detail, then here’s your answer. Coach Ditka has his signature navy blue Bears vest on, over top a shirt and tie and rocking the 80’s shades. The pose Ditka portrays can’t be more exciting. Big Mike, just fist pumping, as his Bears win the Super Bowl with his mustache and mouth open as he screams.

Sniper Rating: Let’s get to the direct point here. The 85’ Championship flashy ring, that Ditka is standing in, makes the bobble. It’s flooded with diamonds around the perimeter with the Bears logo dead smack in the middle and raised “World Champions” letters. When was the last time you displayed a bobblehead with the actual player, mascot or coach standing in a Championship ring? The answer’s never. For $40.00 you can’t go wrong scoring this bobble. Only limited to #750 made, this one will go lighting fast.

Bobble of the Day “Buck Showalter SGA Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Player: Buck Showalter

Team: Nashville Sounds

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Success Promotions

Everyone that knows the game of baseball knows that Buck Showalter has made his mark in the big leagues. Although, he never played in a professional game, he did reach the minors and spent 7 years there. He was the head coach on many ball clubs and his players listen to him. Honestly, I think he scares half the players who play for him. He’s that good so everyone listens.

In 1980, Showalter was in Nashville as a member of the Southern League Sounds (Double-A). This year, the Nashville Sounds dedicated a bobble giveaway in Buck’s honor.

Buck is in his vintage Nashville jersey and his blond wavy hair is all over the place. It almost looks like a baseball card pose. The base is a circular design with raised white letters with a red backdrop. The jersey color is a light blue color with the high socks as that’s how they rocked their uni’s back in the day.

Sniper Rating: This isn’t a bobble for everyone, but if you’ve been around the game long enough you will appreciate this one. A lot of you young guns just see Buck managing the Orioles squad currently, but Buck has been around forever. This one will not take up a lot of room and given the fact that the box is flooded with photo’s and bright colors, you should scoop it up.

Buck and his vintage Nashville Sounds bobble scores a 8.0.

Bobble of the Day “John Belushi” Bridgeport Bluefish Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Actor: John Belushi

Team: Bridgeport Bluefish

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Destroyer Promotional Products

Fucking John Belushi man. A lot of you young guns don’t even know who this dude is, but I’m sure you hung his poster up in your college dorm room wall. When I was at Uconn, a lot of dudes on my floor had the poster of Belushi chugging Jack Daniels  with the sweatshirt that said “College” plastered on their wall and didn’t even know who he was. For those of you who don’t know, he was a famous actor who died of a drug overdose. One of his most famous movies was Animal House in which he is wearing the “College” Sweatshirt drinking the bottle of whiskey. Animal House was an 80’s movie in which a bunch of slapdick drunks got expelled from their fraternity and they caused absolute chaos. The famous scene where Belushi was drinking the booze with his “College” sweatshirt is depicted in this bobblehead.

I’ll be the first to admit, I did a lot of research and for the life of me, I do not know why the Bluefish came out with this one. From what I know, there is no correlation between the Bridgeport Bluefish and John Belushi. That being said, who gives a shit right? It’s a kick as bobble and I live 10 minutes away from the Bluefish stadium.

This bobble takes the crown here. Belushi is rocking the plaid shorts and of course the famous “College” sweatshirt. He is in a screaming pose just like the scene from the movie and it’s epic. The facial features and especially the hair are spot on! It looks very much like him. The letters are raised and extremely visible. I dig how the Bluefish added the home plate base to represent the game of baseball. The only thing that would be killer would be Belushi chugging the bottle of Jack Daniels but I’m sure that concept wouldn’t pass inspection with little kids at the game.

Sniper Rating: I am completely confused why it took so many years for any team to come out with a John Belushi bobblehead. I really am. Everyone that has a beating heart and that’s went away to college knows this image. If anyone knows why the Bluefish came out with this one, let me know as I’m highly interested. Either way, killer bobble that needs to be in your dorm room or bobble cave. Mr. Belushi scores a stand up 9.5 rating.

Bobble of the Day “Billy The Marlin” Happy Birthday Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Mascot: Billy the Marlin

Team: Miami Marlins

Year: 2107

Manufacturer: Match-Up Promotions

What is better then a Birthday bobblehead? Nothing! Here we go again with the Miami Marlins giving out another mascot SGA to the Marlin faithful. I continue to say that Billy the Marlin is the most underrated mascot in baseball. What in the hell is there not to like? He’s always decked out in bright colors and the fact that he swims in the beautiful Miami waters is as fresh as it gets.

This one is super cool as we all can celebrate Billy’s birthday with a bobblehead! He’s rocking the bday hat as he’s got one foot on a present that he’s ready to open. We all know how special birthday’s are and Billy is as proud as it gets with his arms on his hips. He’s pretty much taunting all his fans saying, “Ya, I know it’s my BDAY and I’m the shit”.

Sniper Rating: Of course Billy’s entire body is a covered in a bright blue color and his eyes and beak are very detailed. His gills on the side of his face are a nice shiny silver color which adds some flavor to his look. Match-Up Promotions nailed it with white raised letters against a black backdrop. Lastly, the Marlins never cut any corners with their SGA boxes, as this one is completely covered in bright colors to make it that much more attractive. There’s photo’s of Billy holding a birthday cake and balloons practically everywhere. Also, the Marlins made it a point to make sure you knew what kind of bobble this is by writing the phrase, ” Birthday Billy Bobblehead” on the side of the box. Well done Miami.

Not only this one, but every Billy the Marlin bobble needs to be in your collection. Birthday’s make people happy and so will this exclusive SGA once you score it. Happy Birthday Billy as you score a 9.0 on this one.
