If you’re not on all social media platforms you are at a big disadvantage.

I want to start this blog by stating this….You’d be surprised how many people are not on Social Media. I’m not even kidding. I continue to receive enormous amounts of questions on “How do I get this certain bobblehead” or “What’s the best way to downsize my collection”? and “Where did you find this bobble?” Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. I’ll say it again, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. All four apps are free and signing up is stupid easy. We live in a world where we have the ability to obtain any bobblehead out there, trade for any bobble and sell any bobble without even speaking to the person. These platforms never existed 20 years ago so why wouldn’t you use them? It’s basically a free service to get what you want and all it requires is effort.

A Sniper asked me to help him downsize his collection of unwanted bobbleheads. I said are you on Facebook or Instagram? He said no. I said what are you fucking waiting for!  It’s a whole hell of a lot better than posting your shit on Ebay and getting raped on fees. Now, there’s work that you have to put in. You have to join Facebook bobblehead groups and you have to post and DM other collector’s on Instagram. Once you build a reputation, you basically can do what you want. I see it all the time when someone asks me how to start a social media platform. I break it down for them, they post for a good month and they stop when they don’t see results. You cannot expect gaining followers and a reputation happens over night. It takes years and it just comes down to how bad you want it. The ones who quit after a short period of time never wanted it to begin with.

Communicate through these 4 popular social platforms and watch what happens. Next, you’ll be trading and selling like you never thought you would. It baffles me how many people approach me asking specific questions when they can find the answers on their own when they aren’t even on these platforms.

These superior apps are spoon feeding us opportunities and by not utilizing them is a huge mistake within the bobblehead world. Trust me, you will lose out on opportunities. You will pay more for a bobble because you didn’t jump on that quick opportunity. Don’t say I never warned you. And lastly, don’t bring age into this discussion as it doesn’t matter if you’re 11 or 79. Get off your ass, get on these platforms and reek the benefits.

Why right now is the worst time to invest in NBA bobbleheads

Given the title of this blog you should already know the content objective. There has never been a worse time to invest in purchasing NBA bobbleheads for specific collector’s than now. With the amount of trades and the whole mindset of these players now just jumping ship whenever they feel like, gives the league a bad reputation. Players talk during the off season, at the NBA All-Star Game and even vacation together which is fine, but in order to win a ring in today’s game, you need a “Super Team”. Yes, the Raptors weren’t a super team with 4 All- Stars but they clearly won the title due to the Warrior injuries. The NBA has turned into 5 teams who front load their whole starting 5 and that’s how you win. Period.

So on to the meat of the blog. If you’re a huge fan of the Clippers and you want a Paul George bobble because you live and die by every play, then go for it. Display that shit proudly. Now, if you’re an active collector who tries to gather most of the “new” player bobbles then you better think twice. I myself typically don’t “sit” on a lot of my bobbles to hopefully one day increase value over time. I do know first hand a lot of big time collector’s do that to resell.

So think about it. Why would you invest in 4-5 Kyrie Irving Brooklyn Nets bobbles when he may take off in a year? The same applies for Anthony Davis. Let’s say the Lakers don’t win the title next year and AD takes off to the Heat. Those handful of bobbles you invested in won’t hold their value one bit. You’ll have a tremendously hard time reselling for what you initially paid for them.

The bottom line is there’s an extreme amount of uncertainty in today’s NBA. I would highly advise not investing big money into these new players who jumped ship in hopes of receiving a solid return because it won’t happen. You’ll be highly disappointed when a Kyrie or AD leaves after a year or two and you’re stuck with their bobblehead in which 90% of people no longer want.

If you don’t believe me, head over to eBay and look up what any Chris Paul or Russell Westbrook bobble goes for and you’ll see the average price decrease dramatically since they left their former team.

As mentioned earlier, if you’re a one-team type collector and you love your Rockets, go ahead and grab that Westbrook bobble. Root for your squad and display that shit proudly. And if you’re a big collector or reseller and you understand the point I’m trying to get across, you’ll save a boat load of money. If you decide to invest, don’t come crying back to me when you’re losing money because that stud player joined a new “Super Team”. After all, it’s only a matter of time until it happens.

The 2 Hour Window Strategy of Sniping Bobbleheads

It’s never too late to mix in additional strategies of Sniping to build leverage. I call this The 2 Hour Window Strategy of Sniping Bobbleheads and its super important.

A successful Snipe allows you no more than a 2 hour window. It’s proven and it’s extremely less of a hassle. Let me explain.

It’s been established that Sniping during the actual game is near impossible and a royal pain in the ass. Everyone is sitting down and you’ll look like an asshole going row to row sniping. You’ll just get in the way and fans will get annoyed. Has it ever been done when fans are seated and people still Snipe? Sure, but I’ll say it again, it’s a major pain in the ass.

Now, you have to arrive right when the gates open as fans typically can enter any stadium 1.5 to 2 hours before first pitch. From the time you enter until the first pitch is GO TIME!

Snipe in the beer line, the bathrooms and escalators which you already should know. Wherever you can. Once that “rough” 2 hour window closes, you’re done. Done, done, done. Finished. Furthermore, if you try to defy the odds and put on your hardo cape to snipe while the game is being played, the odds of fans pointing you out to security increases and you may very well be thrown out of the stadium.

This 2 hour window is critical when sniping so use it to your advantage.

P.S. I’m not one to wait until the game ends to grab bobbles under seats or wait for fans exiting the stadium. I don’t have that kind of time and it’s not worth it to me. By the 2nd inning, I’m home crushing a beer.

Why you should never buy a bobblehead off of Ebay showing it’s being shipped from China

This blog is way overdue as I’ve been up to my dick with Sniping, shipping and creating tons of content lately. If you’re a constant Ebay buyer then you need to zero the fuck in. There’s some nipple fuck in China who’s selling bobbleheads who claims they will be shipped directly from China. To name a few he’s selling is the Mariners Jimi Hendrix SGA, Jerry Seinfeld SGA, FOCO’s own Dabo Swinney/Tiger duel bobble to name a few. They are dirt fucking cheap. Like dirt cheap. Many of them are under $10.00 to entice potential buyers. I’ve got news for you. It’s a complete scam.

It’s very simple. What happens is when you pay, they never ship it. The delivery dates are so far out, it’s literally impossible to file a claim with Ebay if you haven’t received it. Ebay gives 30 days to receive your bobble on average. Therefore, they keep your money and you’re dicked out of a bobble. I’ve had several Snipers tell me they’ve tried it and if they don’t receive it within 10-15 they file a claim and they get refunded. I’ve also been messaged from many of you asking if it’s legit or a good idea to buy it and I advise every single time against it.

The sad thing is, I think it’s worked a few times for this seller. People buy the bobblehead and they totally forget about it. 30 days later, the money is sitting pretty in the pocket of the guy in China and your sitting there with a big L. Don’t get scammed this way. It’s fucked up but leaches will do anything to try to make a buck these days. Don’t succumb to this and yes, I know the price looks very tasty but you won’t receive your bobble. People like this China seller, Ohio Mold Guy and Bonn Lynn will get kicked in the nuts very hard one day. I hope I’m around to see it as it would bring the utmost pleasure to me. Ultimately, use your fucking coconut. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Here’s some evidence of the China scammer.

Why the fandom of collecting bobbleheads hasn’t even reached its peak

Collecting bobbleheads is at an all-time high and if anyone tells you different is a complete asshole. The age of collectors are ever expanding from 8 years old to 70. I personally witnessed grown adults standing in line for 3 hours at Citi Field to receive their bobblehead in the soaking wet rain. Other stadiums such as Chicago (Cubs), Yankees, Cardinals are just as insane. The amount of messages I receive from young collectors explaining that their mom or dad can’t bring them to a game to get their bobblehead is enormous. On top of that, within the past several years I’ve seen a spike in women of all ages starting to collect. Pure evidence of a 55 year old man standing in line with a herniated disc in his back for 3 hours to obtain a bobblehead is the proof in the pudding.

The hot “major” in college these days is graphic design and software programming. These college students with the technology we have today are so sophisticated it’s absurd. Fifteen years ago nobody ever heard of photoshop and these high tech software programs. The creativity will skyrocket to new limits for major companies to keep us collectors impressed. What I witnessed first hand at FOCO Headquarters and the amount of discourse the employees had for new ideas was breathtaking. I popped into the office of a graphic designer and he was creating different images, poses and designs for new bobbleheads and I had to catch my breathe. It was that advanced I was speechless.

The fandom of collecting has not even reached the tip of the iceberg yet as the collectors we are, will continue to be more and more fascinated with future bobbleheads. The interest and the overall fandom of the bobbleheads we collect will surpass any sports or entertainment collectible that will ever hit the market. Period.

It’s a good idea to Snipe other Snipers at a game

At first thought you’re probably thinking how to Snipe bobbles from other Snipers. That’s not the case here. This is a learn blog. Let me explain.

When you’re at a game you know I stress sniping prior to the game starting. Once that first pitch is thrown 90% of fans are in their seats ready to watch the game. This is why you get there early to snipe when people are walking around, getting food and bullshitting. Now, there are moments where there’s down time and this is where I want you to capitalize. If you’re new to sniping which I know a lot of you are, this is critical. Do yourself a favor and observe other Snipers. You know who they are. They are the guys looking shady eyeing everyone who walks by. These are the guys with multiple bags. Many of them stand like statues like a drug deal is about to go down. I want you to observe them. Watch their moves. Look how they approach fans. Pay attention to who they go up to. Look at their faces when they get rejected by a fan who wants to keep their bobblehead. Look at their body language. See if their confidence gets shattered when turned down. Observe what they do poorly and what they do correctly. Look at the type of bags they carry. See if they keep a watchful eye out for security guards. See if they run to the bathroom to organize their bobbles when they snipe a bunch.

You can learn a lot from other Snipers. You may run into certain Snipers who clean up and can learn a thing or two from them. You can also observe a mistake they make and not make the same one. I often find myself eyeing many Snipers and some are good and some should have just stayed home. I remember one guy standing at a game looking so shady people were literally scared of him.  His approach and whole body language was totally off and I guarantee the best outcome for him was a bag of peanuts from the game.

If you’ve been attending games this season and have not been doing well, I implore you to observe other Snipers. There’s plenty of bobbles to go around at these games and you can gather some very valuable tactics to use and what not to use. The learning process of Bobble Sniping is skill that can always improve no matter what game you attend.
