Bobble of the Day “D’Angelo Russell Brooklyn Nets SGA Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Player: D’Angelo Russell

Team: Brooklyn Nets

Year: 2018

Manufacturer: Coyote Promotions

Everyone remembers D’Angelo in a Laker uniform but ever since he got traded to the Nets, that’s when his game turned elite. L.A. was to much hype for him and he has settled in nicely in Brooklyn. Currently, he’s on the shelf after undergoing a small procedure on his knee, but should be back in mid January. Mark my words, for the foreseeable future, D. Russ is the face of this franchise.

On to the bobble itself. Coyote Promotions never disappoints with their manufacturing skills and obviously the Nets have the utmost trust in Coyote, as they know they produce quality products. D’Angelo is in his “juke” stance, as he’s ready to fake out a defender and drop a dime. I love the all-black arm band on his shooting hand as it goes very well with his black jersey with laced white stripes.

Sniper Rating: The biggest feature has to be Russell’s hair and Coyote nailed it. D. Russ has the braided look dangling over his whole dome. Very precise detail and effort was included to D’s hair. The base is a standard circular design with the Nets logo dead smack on the top, with D’Angleo’s name in raised letters which reflects that Coyote Promotions didn’t cut any corners. Fans will be lining up for this one on Saturday night as they know D’Angelo is the future of the franchise. Coyote Promotions hit this SGA out of the park and I highly suggest going to their website for a myriad of products that would satisfy any sports fan. This D’Angelo Russell bobblehead easily scores a 9.5 and I expect lines down the street for this one on Saturday night.

P.S. The box is also total kick ass. It’s flooded with photos and has a smooth glossy coating which makes collector’s more attracted to it. Well done Coyote.

Here’s a quick vid of how good D’Angelo is in a Nets uniform.

Bobble of the Day “Rollie Fingers” MLB Legends bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Player: Rollie Fingers

Team: Oakland Athletics

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

A lot of you young Snipers never saw Rollie pitch but you know him by his waxed handlebar mustache. The guy is a fucking legend and I actually met him when I went to Cooperstown a few years ago and he’s the man.  Just like the Johnny Bench “Legends” bobble, FOCO released a few more and this Rollie is one that is a “must have”.

The A’s colors of yellow and green are one of the best if not, the best colors in all Major League baseball. Rollie is in his signature pose ready to hurl a tight knee-bending slider. Just like the Bench bobble from this series, there’s a photo of Rollie dead smack on the top of the base, which is an eye-popping feature. The yellow socks with the green stirrups reminds me of the old school baseball uni’s and I wish more players would rock, these days.

Sniper Rating: The handlebar mustache along with the black wavy hair on Rollie really signifies how bad ass this bobble is. Again, just like the Bench one, the box is absolutely flooded with photo’s and bright colors. Very good job by FOCO designing the box that holds our collectible.

I love this Rollie Fingers bobblehead from head to toe but I would have liked to have seen raised letters for Rollie’s name. If they were raised, this would be a stand up 10.0 bobble rating for your collection. Since it’s just a sticker label, the point system drops a tad and Rollie’s handlebar mustache bobbles receives a 8.5. Click the link below for the best price and the overall best customer service. The Bobble Head Hall of Fame is a company who you always can count on.

P.S. I wasn’t even born when Rollie was so dominate but here’s a clip of his dope swag he brought to the hill each and every game.

My bobblehead expectations for 2018

As 2018 is approaching soon, I have MANY expectations in store for the new year.

First off, in 2017 we saw an enormous amount of “Exclusive” bobbleheads from all vendors. I think 2018 continues that trend but more and more limited numbers to be produced. I think the days of 2,500 and 3,000 being made are over. Bobbleheads have gotten to damn expensive lately and they are only going up. I think the trend of #750 or #1,000 made will continue along with the very low numbered #250.

FOCO will continue to produce excellent quality products and we possibly may see other companies like Success Promotions and Coyote promotions start to do bobble giveaways for more hockey, basketball and of course Minor and MLB teams. The branding of these companies lately have pushed the envelop in terms of becoming more of a “power house” in the world of manufacturing sports products, but any every day living product.

The Bobblehead Hall of Fame took the bobblehead world by storm in 17 with a shit ton of exclusive bobbleheads. With the help of FOCO and Success Promotions, they are the top of the hemisphere with their bobbleheads. I have no doubt that the Hall of Fame will please us collector’s in 18 with a slew of items to peek our interest and add to our collections. The Bobble Hall of Fame is very easy to work with as their customer service department is top notch. Another reason to purchase from them is they only charge $8.00 to ship how every many bobbleheads you want! That being said, if you order 11 bobbleheads, you’ll be charged only a flat rate of $8.00! Also, if you purchase their membership package, you receive free shipping and 10% off which pays for itself over time.

I’m looking forward to new SGA’s at ball games this year and especially the Brooklyn Cyclones and Akron RubberDucks. I hope the Rubberducks keep the theme of Major League Movie bobbles and the Cyclones stick with the Sandlot themed bobbles. It should be yet another exciting year of collecting and remember, I’m always here to help you grow your collection. Through educating, entertaining and making an overall impact, I promise you, your collection will take off to new limits. Here’s to a brand new year of collecting as I only recommend the best products to all you Snipers.

Bobble of the Day “Johnny Bench” MLB Legends Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Player: Johnny Bench

Team: Cincinnati Reds

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

So FOCO released their 1st line of MLB Legends bobbles and some are just eh and a few others are total kick ass. When the first series was released, the ONLY one that caught my attention was Johnny. He is a Cincinnati hero and one of the best to strap on the catchers gear behind the dish.

Johnny is in his “catcher’s” pose stance ready for the pitch and I love the red shin straps and red chest protector. I try and score as many catcher’s as I can as I feel they hold more value and are just more desirable to the standard collector. FOCO added a photograph of Johnny on top of the base which really pops. There’s gold trim around the bottom of the perimeter of the base and a red slab just above. Although, the letters aren’t raised and that takes some good value away from the bobblehead itself.

Sniper Rating: This is one of the most deluxe boxes I’ve ever laid eyes on. On one side has Johnny’s photograph just like his bobble stance and on the back has the Cooperstown Hall of Fame logo. 2 killer features Snipers. Box designs are very underrated and the creativity of this Bench bobble that FOCO created scores a 9.0. It would have notched a perfect 10 if the letters were raised. Scoop this one up Snipers as they won’t last forever!

What’s the deal with these “Funko Pop” things?

The fuck is the deal with these Funko Pop things? I see these fuckers all over the place and I mean ALL over the place. I see these shit’s in Walmart, Target and all retail sites. I have one critical question. Are these even bobbleheads? To me these are just little stupid figurines. I only have one, yes one of these in my collection. Buddy the Elf. I don’t even know how it entered the bobble cave.

They barely bobble at the spring and they look NOTHING like the player or movie character. They retail for under $15.00 and in my eye, are cheap as fuck. I don’t understand why these are so highly collectible. They hold zero value and are terrible.

I see on Instagram all the time that people have thousands upon thousands of these stacked up in their fucking houses. Not only do they produce sports ones, but cartoon characters, movie actors and so forth. A lot of collectors that have these are mostly Asians. Now I’m not stereotyping, but many of the diehards that have these are of Asian decent. Why is that?

One last thing. Can someone please tell me what Funko Pop exactly means? That’s gotta be the dumbest fucking name for a collectible company. But who I am, as these suckers are mass produced and hundreds of thousands of people collect them. I have zero intel on the hype over these, so I need one of you Snipers to shed some light for me.

Funko Pop…..GTFO…..haha
