Bobble of the Day Christian Yelich and Yeli Milwaukee Brewers Exclusive Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Player: Christian Yelich

Team: Milwaukee Brewers

Year: 2019

Manufacturer: FOCO

I’m a huge fan of Christian Yelich and after this heart felt story I love this fucking guy. So these 2 little girls attended a game back on March 30th and held up a sign that read, “Yelich, Hit a Homerun and my dad buys me a puppy!” Well for shits sake Yelich missiled a piss rocket to the opposite field in the first inning and the wish was in the books. This girl’s sign went absolute viral on social and a few weeks later Yelich came through. He hand delivered the puppy to the family and it created quite a few tears in many fans eyes. And this is why sports is more than just playing a game on a field or court. There’s sentimental moments and the fellas at the Bobblehead Hall of Fame wanted to bring smiles to collector’s faces.

This bobble displays Yelich in his warmup up gear prior to the game on April 15th. He’s rocking turf shoes, tall navy blue socks, shorts and a dope Brewers hoodie. As you can see on the bobble that Christian is holding the ever so gentle puppy with care. The facial features look exactly like the 2018 National League MVP and he’s got nicer flowing hair than 80% of Americans. As an extra feature, the guys over at the Bobble Hall had FOCO replicate the sign the girl was holding up to display how special this bobblehead is.

Sniper Rating: This is a knock out bobble as I’m a huge dog lover and if a Homerun like this can bring tears and smiles to a family, then I’m all in. I showed my little Snipers the video and they started balling with tears. Then I took out the bobble and they immediately started to fight over it as they both want one in their bedrooms. Score this one Snipers as this is a heart felt storied bobblehead that shows how awesome sports can be. I was debating a 8.8 rating but after opening the box and noticed that the puppy’s head bobbles, my rating soared to a 9.6 without hesitating. Click below and score this.

Why the Fall and Winter months are just as important as the Summer Sniping season

Anywhere from October to late December are my second favorite bobblehead months. Obviously, the summer months are prime for collector’s to Snipe and create leverage but the middle of the Fall season is just as important. The heavy, heavy sniping season has calmed down dramatically as there still are SGA games sprayed in here or there, but nothing like the summer months.

For me, it’s a time to regroup from the craziness of the sniping season. The leaves start to change, the weather gets cooler, football is in full swing and major holidays are right around the corner.

If you’re a big time collector and you like adding tons of bobbles to your collection, then you know how busy the summer months get. You’re always checking Facebook and Twitter pages for the new SGA coming out. You’re either going to the game to Snipe or setting up multiple trades with other Snipers across the country. You know you have to be on top of your fucking game and not allow anything to slip by.

During these Fall and Winter months, I spend a ton time organizing and displaying all Sga’s I’ve acquired throughout the year. Given all of the inventory that goes in and out of the bobble cave, it’s my personal time to organize and get my life back in order. I contact trade partners to get rid of extra bobbles or list them on eBay to make room. I also calculate my expenses throughout the sniping season to see what I’ve spent and what I traded away. This is extremely important to look at year in and year out for financial reasons. I also record which bobbles I haven’t scored but are still on my radar.

I’m in a little bit of a different situation than most as I also spend countless hours on creating content which takes an enormous amount of time, which is the main reason why I enjoy the Fall and Winter months. You heavy duty Snipers know what I’m talking about as I know many of you have stacks and stacks of bobbles just laying around. Grab a cold beer on a cold Thursday night, turn on the game and get to work. Take a long look at what you’ve built over the year and the leverage you created. Learn from what you did well and what you can work on the following year.

Lastly, if you ask me in my honest opinion what sort of weather is my favorite to work down in the Bobble Cave is…..without question a 12 hour down pour of snow when the entire East Coast is on lockdown and nobody can move. That’s when I get the most amount of work done and it puts my mind at ease. The coziness of a cold, snowy night with awesome fucking bobbles to work on is ideal for any collector.

If you’re not on all social media platforms you are at a big disadvantage.

I want to start this blog by stating this….You’d be surprised how many people are not on Social Media. I’m not even kidding. I continue to receive enormous amounts of questions on “How do I get this certain bobblehead” or “What’s the best way to downsize my collection”? and “Where did you find this bobble?” Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. I’ll say it again, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. All four apps are free and signing up is stupid easy. We live in a world where we have the ability to obtain any bobblehead out there, trade for any bobble and sell any bobble without even speaking to the person. These platforms never existed 20 years ago so why wouldn’t you use them? It’s basically a free service to get what you want and all it requires is effort.

A Sniper asked me to help him downsize his collection of unwanted bobbleheads. I said are you on Facebook or Instagram? He said no. I said what are you fucking waiting for!  It’s a whole hell of a lot better than posting your shit on Ebay and getting raped on fees. Now, there’s work that you have to put in. You have to join Facebook bobblehead groups and you have to post and DM other collector’s on Instagram. Once you build a reputation, you basically can do what you want. I see it all the time when someone asks me how to start a social media platform. I break it down for them, they post for a good month and they stop when they don’t see results. You cannot expect gaining followers and a reputation happens over night. It takes years and it just comes down to how bad you want it. The ones who quit after a short period of time never wanted it to begin with.

Communicate through these 4 popular social platforms and watch what happens. Next, you’ll be trading and selling like you never thought you would. It baffles me how many people approach me asking specific questions when they can find the answers on their own when they aren’t even on these platforms.

These superior apps are spoon feeding us opportunities and by not utilizing them is a huge mistake within the bobblehead world. Trust me, you will lose out on opportunities. You will pay more for a bobble because you didn’t jump on that quick opportunity. Don’t say I never warned you. And lastly, don’t bring age into this discussion as it doesn’t matter if you’re 11 or 79. Get off your ass, get on these platforms and reek the benefits.

Why right now is the worst time to invest in NBA bobbleheads

Given the title of this blog you should already know the content objective. There has never been a worse time to invest in purchasing NBA bobbleheads for specific collector’s than now. With the amount of trades and the whole mindset of these players now just jumping ship whenever they feel like, gives the league a bad reputation. Players talk during the off season, at the NBA All-Star Game and even vacation together which is fine, but in order to win a ring in today’s game, you need a “Super Team”. Yes, the Raptors weren’t a super team with 4 All- Stars but they clearly won the title due to the Warrior injuries. The NBA has turned into 5 teams who front load their whole starting 5 and that’s how you win. Period.

So on to the meat of the blog. If you’re a huge fan of the Clippers and you want a Paul George bobble because you live and die by every play, then go for it. Display that shit proudly. Now, if you’re an active collector who tries to gather most of the “new” player bobbles then you better think twice. I myself typically don’t “sit” on a lot of my bobbles to hopefully one day increase value over time. I do know first hand a lot of big time collector’s do that to resell.

So think about it. Why would you invest in 4-5 Kyrie Irving Brooklyn Nets bobbles when he may take off in a year? The same applies for Anthony Davis. Let’s say the Lakers don’t win the title next year and AD takes off to the Heat. Those handful of bobbles you invested in won’t hold their value one bit. You’ll have a tremendously hard time reselling for what you initially paid for them.

The bottom line is there’s an extreme amount of uncertainty in today’s NBA. I would highly advise not investing big money into these new players who jumped ship in hopes of receiving a solid return because it won’t happen. You’ll be highly disappointed when a Kyrie or AD leaves after a year or two and you’re stuck with their bobblehead in which 90% of people no longer want.

If you don’t believe me, head over to eBay and look up what any Chris Paul or Russell Westbrook bobble goes for and you’ll see the average price decrease dramatically since they left their former team.

As mentioned earlier, if you’re a one-team type collector and you love your Rockets, go ahead and grab that Westbrook bobble. Root for your squad and display that shit proudly. And if you’re a big collector or reseller and you understand the point I’m trying to get across, you’ll save a boat load of money. If you decide to invest, don’t come crying back to me when you’re losing money because that stud player joined a new “Super Team”. After all, it’s only a matter of time until it happens.

Bobble of the Day “USC Trojans” National Championship Mascot Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Mascot: USC Trojans

Team: USC

Year: 2019

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

We all know the NCAA basketball Champion bobbles the Bobblehead Hall of Fame came out with a few years ago were bad ass. Pretty much any division 1 team that has won a title, the Bobble Hall came out with a bobble to commemorate their championship. Now, we have NCAA football championship bobbles to celebrate your favorite team. I knew this would be a great fucking idea because collectors love college football and what’s better than celebrating your favorite teams accomplishments?

The Bobble Hall sent me this USC Trojans bobble and I love it. Very rarely do find a USC Trojan mascot bobble and when the opportunity comes, you gotta pounce on it. The entire base is flooded with iced out rings that signifies each championship the Trojans have captured. Oh, and the Trojan himself is holding a sword ready to go to battle.

Sniper Rating. These new college football championship ring bobbles are quickly to become highly collectible. The following teams are available on Bobblehead Hall of Fame’s website. USC, Texas, LSU, Miami, Nebraska and Ohio State. Head over there and grab a few as you won’t be disappointed as these will display quite nice on your mantle on College Football Saturdays!  This USC trojan easily scores a 9.2.
