The Travis Scott bobblehead apparently went viral last night

Any time a Hip Hop artist bobblehead is being given out it’s naturally going to gain national attention. Travis Scott is on his way to becoming a mogal in the Hip Hop game. He’s fairly new but he’s dropped hits like Highest in the Room, SICKO MODE, Goosebumps and Antidote to name a few. I personally bump many of his songs especially while working in the Bobble Cave, hence why I like him so much.

So the Rockets handed out Scott’s bobble last night as he’s a Houston, Texas native. Only 3,000 of these puppies were given out which is considerably low given most of us are used to 20k or more given out at games. Ultimately, the 3,000 amount makes this collectible an immediate “Somehwat rare” bobble.

The open market prices were skyrocketing last night. From what I saw the average price was going for roughly $130.00. Many sellers have them still listed for $300-$400 and several in the $600.00 range. And you know what, I applaud these sellers. I saw on social last night that fans stood in line for up to 12 hours to get one. Yes, 12 hours! These sellers should capitalize on the highest amount of pay dirt they can get. After all, they are the ones who sacrificed their time and stood in line and gutted it out. Now, $600.00 is a bit excessive but anything in the $125-$200 range is nothing crazy considering only 3,000 were given out.

It looks like Success Promotions manufactured this and I’m not surprised one bit. Just about every bobblehead they manufacture is top notch which leaves us collector’s happy.

If you’re in need for one of these I would wait. I do not see the value going up anytime soon as all it takes is one slap dick who throws a few on eBay for $85.00 and that immediately devalues the market.

By the way, I still don’t have one locked up and I’m on the hunt…

What you should now be doing to prepare for the 2020 Bobblehead season

It’s now the time year being very close to Spring Training starting, that just about all MLB and Minor League team have released their promotional schedules. Each promotional department actually starts generating ideas for new SGA bobbleheads right after the World Series is concluded. In order for their bobbles to be handed out in 2020, molds, graphic designs and prototypes have to be viewed way in advance. More importantly, this gives each and every factory time to actually manufacture the bobbleheads to arrive in time. Keep in mind there’s probably well over a million bobbles being manufactured from multiple companies so they need extensive time over in China to make them.  In addition, keep in mind that the Chinese New Year happens in early February which lasts roughly 2 weeks as factories are literally shut down.

So, NOW is the time for YOU to start mapping out which ones you wish to obtain this Spring and Summer. You’ve had the chance to check Instagram, Twitter and Facebook groups as collectors post what teams are giving what bobblehead away. Now, grab your laptop or notepad and record what ones catch your eye. This means which games you want to attend and more importantly, start making connections with other Snipers around the country to set up trades. I’ll be the first to tell you that if you’re deep into the bobble game and you don’t make a list ahead of time, you will drive yourself fucking crazy during mid-season. You will forget which ones came out and you’ll have to revert to Ebay in which ultimately, will cost you more money. Football is over, the NBA is exercising All-Star weekend in which they are on a 9 day break so there’s not much going on. Spend a few hours in your office and create a list so you’re not playing catch up and overpaying. The season will be here faster than you can blink. It’s time to put in the work as you’ll be happy you did.

Bobble of the Day Atlanta Hawks Series Special Ticket Bobbleheads

Bobble of the Day

Team: Atlanta Hawks

Players: Trae Young, John Collins, Cam Reddish, Kevin Huerter, De’Andre Hunter

Year: 2020

Manufacturer: Kollectico

There’s been a lot of talk surrounding the bobblehead community given the lack of SGA bobbleheads not being offered to fans. We all know baseball is the prime season for giveaways and to date, there are some NBA bobble giveaways here and there, but nothing compared to baseball. The Atlanta Hawks Consultant Group Experience headed by my friend Emily came up with a great idea. She created the idea of giving out 5 different Hawks bobbleheads limited to only 250 of each player through a special ticket offer. You get the choice of buying a ticket to a game and choosing the bobble you want! This is a super exclusive ticket package and the fact that only 250 of each player bobble are made, makes this set harder to obtain.

I was lucky enough to score a full set from the Hawks and these are the real deal Snipers. The following players are included in the 5 player set: Trae Young, John Collins, Cam Reddish, Kevin Huerter and De’andre Hunter. Not only does each player have a different action pose but each base interlocks with each other. I love this concept as you can literally display these anywhere on a flat surface. These mini bobbleheads are great for the office desk, fireplace mantle or even in your bobblehead display cabinet. Furthermore, I’m a HUGE fan that the jersey colors on the players are not the same color. The mixture of white, black and red really make this full 5 player set pop.

Sniper Rating: I’m not going to sugar coat this bobble set because I was sent these as you know I’m a straight shooter when it comes to reviewing bobbleheads. I love this set. The facial features are precise and the finer details that include wrist bands, leg and arm sleeves and multiple colored socks are legit. If you’re in the Atlanta area you NEED to click the link below and score 5 tickets and choose a different bobblehead for each game you go to. Or even better yet, if Trae Young or De’andre Hunter is your favorite player and you want to grab multiples of their bobble, you have the option to chose the same player.

I love this set and you won’t be disappointed. My only gripe is I was hoping for raised letters on the front of the base but we can’t always get what we want. The fact that this 5 player set interlocks is an insane feature. Click the link below as tickets aren’t expensive and you’ll be happy that you did when you have this entire set displayed. Go Hawks!

Bobble of the Day Christian McCaffrey Carolina Panthers Exclusive Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Player: Christian McCaffrey

Team: Carolina Panthers

Year: 2020

Manufacturer: FOCO

Never second guess yourself when it comes to drafting Christian McCaffrey on your fantasy football squad. Or even better yet, the Carolina Panthers most likely would have laid an egg in the win column if it wasn’t for CMC. Literally, what can’t he do on a football field? The word “stud” is a complete understatement when describing McCaffrey. When you have just under 1,400 yards rushing, 116 receptions and 19 total touchdowns, you better be awarded with a smash hit bobble.

Foco once again dropped the sledge hammer with a brand new action pose bobblehead of Christian McCaffrey. My initial thought when I first got it was he’s taking the rock to the house for a TD. The circular base is gigantic with his last name and jersey number sitting dead smack in the middle. The Panthers are known for the “drum” pounding prior to the start of the game and that’s exactly what FCOCO highlighted. A replica drum sits flush at the center of the base and the phrase “Keep Pounding” is in a bright Carolina Panther blue color.

Sniper Rating: I’m a huge fantasy football guy and I didn’t get a chance to grab CMC. I was pissed but the fact that I even got a chance to watch McCaffrey on a weekly basis was incredible. The guy is an absolute beast and if it wasn’t for Lamar Jackson having a blowout offensive year, CMC would have taken the MVP award in the NFL.

If you’re not a big time bobblehead collector you probably don’t know this, but there are not a lot of CMC bobbles out there. He’s only been in the league a few years and for some reason retailers haven’t produced many of him. Now, given the variety of CMC bobbles being scarce, this thematic bobblehead needs a slot in your display cabinet. Never-mind the base looking deluxe, McCaffrey’s entire pose, head band and facial features are downright elite. I haven’t seen the original manufacturer’s box yet, but without question, this Carolina Panthers Christian McCaffrey exclusive bobblehead scores a 8.6. Click the link below and use code Sniper10.

Bobble of the Day Justin Verlander 2019 American League CY Young Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Player: Justin Verlander

Team: Houston Astros

Year: 2019

Manufacturer: FOCO

This one cheated, that one cheated, that guy banged on a garbage can blah, blah, blah. This whole cheating scandal from the Astros and Red Sox is done. It was done 4 days ago. Enough talking about it and we should all move on. No rings will be taken away nor will any asterisks will be seen in the record books. Both teams received big penalties and what’s done is done.

Now, Justin Verlander once again had a dominant 2019 year for the Astros and what comes from winning the CY Young? A kick ass bobblehead featuring your stats. This is his 4th CY Young he’s won and this 2019 exclusive FOCO bobblehead displays how filthy JV is.

I’m a sucker for “classic” pose bobbleheads and Verlander is doing just that. He’s holding his CY Young plaque in one hand and a pearl (term for baseball) in his other. The Astros logo on top of the circular base is the immediate focal point of the collectible. I do wish FOCO added raised letters on the front base to highlight this enormous accomplishment but only one can be so greedy.

The back metal plate displays Verlander’s 2019 stats and what stands out to me is the WHIP. Any starting pitcher that has a whip under 1.00 is fucking ridiculous.

Sniper Rating: Justin Verlander is the fucking man. The dude just won his 4th CY Young, he won a championship with the Astros in 2017 (yes, it’s in the record books regardless of what anyone says) and he goes home every night with Kate Upton laying in a King sized bed waiting for him. Any Astros fan needs this CY Young bobblehead. Justin Verlander will go down as one of the best generational pitchers we’ve seen and on top of it, he’s an absolute first ballot Hall of Famer. Given the fact that the letters not being raised bother the shit out of me and several fractional points get deducted on the overall point system rating. JV and his “classic pose” 2019 CY Young award winning bobble is a 8.3.
