#4 of the The Top 10 SGA Bobbleheads of 2017

Number #4

Jim Abbott

Team: Inland Empires 66’ers

Manufacturer: Alexander Global Promotions

Why wasn’t a Jim Abbott bobble made years ago? Is he a Hall of Famer? No. Was he the best pitcher on the mound in his era? No. But everyone, and I mean EVERYONE knows who Jim Abbott is. This isn’t a feel good story about the one hand and the reason why he belongs in the top 10. The reason is because the bobble is dynamite.

A great pitching pose will raised letters practically everywhere and the fact that he pitched with one fucking hand is incredible. He’s decked out in Angels gear and his facial features are spot on along with his detailed brown wavy hair.

Well done by AGP and the box is a detailed as they come. A lot of work was put into this one and the Empire 66’ers should be commended. Coming in at 4 on the top 10 list is a great accomplishment and this should have been in your collection months ago.

A Jim F’n Abbott bobblehead! Who would have thought this beauty would be produced. A well sought out item to own and given the fact that it’s only a few months old, the likability is astronomical. Congrats to Jimmy on your number 4 ranking.

#5 of the top 10 SGA Bobbleheads of 2017

Number #5

Tim Tebow

Team: Port St. Lucie Mets

Manufacturer: Coyote Promotions

I can honestly say, I personally do not own many bobbleheads made by Coyote Promotions, but this bobble has been a game changer for me. Everyone and their mother was waiting for this to be released down in Florida and rightfully so. After all, who doesn’t like Tim Tebow? An absolute icon in America and finally a professional team created a bobblehead for him to give away to fans.

I’ve already explained how much I like this one on the Youtube Vlog, and this without questions falls within the top 10. Stepping on the alligator and holding the bat against his shoulders are the 2 main factors why this bobble needs to be in your collection. Lastly, you cannot ask for a better box than Coyote Promotions created, as the colors are eye catching beyond belief. Make no mistake, Timmy sits comfortably at number 5 of this years’ best bobbleheads of 2017.

#6 of the top 10 SGA Bobbleheads of 2017

Number #6

The entire Win Dance Repeat Set

Team: Portland Sea Dogs

Manufacturer: Novel Sports Promotions

Who the hell is Novel Sports Promotions? I’ll tell you who. They created a top 10 bobblehead set of the famous Win Dance Repeat Red Sox outfield. I like this WDR set much more than the Spinners set. It’s simple and straight to the point.

JBJ, Benintendi and Mookie are decked out in their Sea Dogs uni’s and doing their “Winning” dance. Never mind that the entire set is near impossible to get for under $150.00, the detail and likability is enormous.

Each bobble has raised letters on each jersey, player number and of course their name. This is considered the “original” Win Dance Repeat set and it belongs in your collection as the best outfield trio in baseball. Look no further as this set will turn heads in your display cabinet and easily belongs in the top ten of 2017.

#7 of the top 10 SGA bobbleheads of 2017

Number #7

John Belushi

Team: Bridgeport Bluefish

Manufacturer: Destroyer Promotional Products

And here we have another Destroyer Promotional bobblehead that makes the top 10 of 2017. I already wrote a “Bobble of the Day” blog on this one already, and I won’t go into to much detail regarding the movie Animal House, but without question this is a top 10 bobble of 2017.

Everyone had or has this poster on their dorm room wall, as it’s a reminder that college students love to get shit faced drunk. Let alone the classic movie, this bobble is a dynamite collector’s item. Simple base again, but the fact that Belushi’s pose looks identical to the scene from the movie is incredible. Do you have any idea how hard it must have been to get legal rights from the filmmaker to create this bobblehead? Well done by the Bluefish upper management and we’re all glad you pulled some strings.

An easy top 10 bobble of 2017 and one that NEEDS to be in your collection.

#8 of the top 10 SGA Bobbleheads of 2017

Number #8

Lou Brown

Team: Akron Rubberducks

Manufacturer: Destroyer Promotional Products

You knew a Rubberducks giveaway would crack the top 10 of 2017. It’s a given. They always produce quality bobbleheads and they could have snuck in another that would make the top 10 easily.

Lou F’n Brown Snipers. This one’s a no brainer as the movie Major League is a sure fire classic baseball movie.

The base is simple and the arms on the waist is a very standard pose. Neither of those factors are the reason why Lou Brown’s bobble makes the top 10. The reason alone is the character himself. Lou fucking Brown. The old school gray Indians uniform and the fact that his big ass hairy mustache bobbles, makes this one ultra unique. A lot of the Major League bobbles in the series are difficult to get from the Rubberducks, but this is a must have. Jake Taylor and Rick Vaughn don’t make the movie a classic, Lou Brown does with his humorous personality.

The likability of this bobble soars to the highest heavens and without question, this is a must have for 2017.

#9 of the top 10 SGA Bobbleheads of 2017

Number #9

Hulk

Team: Miami Marlins

Manufacturer: BD&A

You all know I have a soft spot for the Hulk, being that my old logo was of the “Hulk” until I got a certified letter from Marvel telling me to get rid of it. That being said, that is not the reason the Hulk enters the top 10 SGA bobbleheads of 2017.

This particular bobble displays an enormous amount of detail and it’s not even a question. The precision fine- line detail that BD&A put into the arm and leg muscles on Hulk is incredible. This bobble is one of the most sturdy bobbleheads that I’ve ever seen. It’s literally built like a brick shithouse. The bright colored Marlins logo is centered dead smack in the middle of the base. The Hulk letters are raised and is extremely visible against the black backdrop of the base. You won’t know how special this giveaway is until you hold it in your hand. In addition, the box is gigantic and is flooded with the Marlins logo and “Super Hero Night” on the side of the box. This will, without a doubt, turn heads once displayed in your collection.

Even if you are not a Marvel or Comic Book buff, you will be pleased to place this in your display cabinet. The Hulk absolutely, 100% belongs in the top 10 of SGA’s of 17.
