Bobble of the Day St. Louis Cardinals “Rally Cat” Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Mascot: Rally Cat

Team: St. Louis Cardinals

Year: 2018

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Animals are funny little fuckers at times. So on August 9th of last year, a game between the Cards and Royals, was getting heated in the bottom of the 6th inning. Yadier Molina was facing a 1-0 count and all of a sudden out of nowhere, this cat came sprinting around Busch Stadium. He bolted out to center field and the crowd went bizerk. Finally, a grounds crew member scooped him up and as he proceeded to get off the field with the cat in hand, and the little fucker started to bite the grounds crew member. I personally, hate cats and I’m highly allergic to them but I can imagine how those sharp teeth feel going into your bare skin. Soon after, Yadier smoked a grand slam and the Cardinals took the lead. Great idea by the Cardinals honoring this feisty little cat and naming him the “Rally Cat”. Soon after, our friends over at the Bobblehead Hall of Fame designed this incredible bobblehead in his honor.

Rally is positioned on all 4’s with his paws spread right out on a super thick base. The name “Rally Cat” has raised white letters against the Cardinal red base which is a must have feature. He’s rocking a white jersey with the Cardinals logo on the front.

Sniper Rating: Shit like this doesn’t happen often during a baseball game and when it does, you gotta capitalize on the moment. Is this bobblehead rare? Shit ya it will be. The first batch has the white jersey on the cat and the soon to be next batch will have “Rally Cat” in a red jersey. The box is as detailed as they come and the overall structure of the bobble is sturdy as fuck. It’s got a nice width to it and will look phenomenal in your display cabinet. I highly recommend scoring this one even if you despise the Cards. It’s unique and it’s like no other collectible in anyone’s collection. This St. Louis Cardinals Rally Cat bobblehead scores a 9.0 with hesitating.

Here’s a short clip for your enjoyment as this was destined for the Cardinals to happen.

The best advice for a beginner bobblehead collector.

I get questions all the time by new collectors about “How to start a bobblehead collection”. I love the enthusiasm and the passion of you young bucks. Here’s my best advice for a beginning collector.

You have to have a pinpoint direction when starting a collection. For the time being, stick to one team, just mascots, just the NL East or one sport. Don’t use me for example as my collection has gotten out of control very fast. I have bobbles of baseball, football, basketball to movie characters to MMA etc. Stick to one theme. If you don’t, your pockets will be empty faster than a pig can take a shit in a pen. It’s impossible to collect 4-5 different themed or sports bobbleheads when starting out. Unless you have $20,000 laying around, don’t do it.

I did it the wrong way when I first started. I bought NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL all at once and shit got out of control fast. Collecting various sports, players and mascots will come over time. Get your feet wet with your favorite team for a year or so. Then, slowly move into another team or mascots. You’ll thank me in the long run because I’ve seen other collector’s try and complete all top players in every sport and they maxed out their credit cards.

Bobbleheads aren’t going anywhere and there’s waaaaaaay to many of them. Be patient when collecting and most importantly, have fun collecting. Stick to one theme when starting out. Period.

Bobble of the Day “Anthony Rizzo” Chicago Cubs Wall Catch Bobblehead

I wish every stadium had a cozy little brick wall, that you can jump up to show off the god given skills you were given. Anthony Rizzo did it at Wrigley and by the good graces of FOCO, they gave us his “Wall Catch” bobblehead. Besides the Willie Mays over the shoulder catch, this play is right fucking up there and will NEVER be duplicated ever again.

Rizzo is positioned on top of the wall, legs open and leaning to catch the pearl. I dig the blue pin striped uniform and the all-blue cleats. FOCO added some swag by having the ball bobble within Rizzo’s glove which is deluxe. Well done FOCO. The phrase “Top of the Wall Catch” is written on the brick ivy wall with a little crunched Cubs bag leaning against it. Snipers, these are the little details that can make a bobble not only a “must have” item, but a legendary collectible.

Sniper Rating: My only gripe about this bobble, is Rizzo’s name on the front plate of the base, is not raised. I would have thought with all of the extra swag FOCO put into creating this, they would at least raise his name platform to increase the likability for shit’s sake.

Overall, a future Hall of Famer, a swag filled bobble and an even better play. The degree of difficulty of this catch is off the charts and without hesitation, this Anthony Rizzo Chicago Cubs bobblehead scores a 9.5.

Here’s the catch in real time. It’s fucking ridiculous.

Bobble of the Day “Slider” Cleveland Indians World Series Championship Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Mascot: Slider

Team: Cleveland Indians

Year: 2018

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Everyone thinks the Tribe only has one mascot being Chief Wahoo. Yes, the Chief has held the crown for many years, but Slider arose in 1990 and was inspired by the Phillie Phanatic. Slider is big, shaggy and has a large nose that makes fans love him.  He’s slowly making the ranks as a top mascot in the American League. The Bobble Head Hall of Fame once again, nailed it with this Cleveland Indians Slider mascot World Series championship bobblehead. The Tribe own 2 World Series titles back in 1920 and 1948. It seems like an entire lifetime that the Indians won a ring, but in recent years they have proven to be a top contending team in the American League.

Most mascots tend to be fat and Slider is no exception, as his enormous gut struts around Progressive Field like a fucking boss.  This exclusive bobble shows Slider holding 2 shiny WS trophies with both arms spread out. The base has a large “C” in the middle for Cleveland and thankfully the Cleveland Indians letters are raised on the front plate of the base. Slider displays head-to-toe detail with bright yellow dots spread around his pink fur. The goofy eyes and large nose adds a cartoonish look which is needed on any mascot in MLB.

Sniper Rating: Let’s be honest here. Is Slider a top mascot in the game? No, but the Indians are. Anything from Chief Wahoo to Slider to anything affiliated with the Indians, is eye appealing. The Tribe are a few small pieces away from winning a World Series in the immediate future, so you’re going to want to own this now. Meaning today, as this Cleveland Indians Slider mascot bobblehead scores a 9.0 rating.

Head on over to the Bobble Hall and scoop one up before the Indians scoop up a World Series title!

MLB World Series Champions Mascot Bobbleheads

Have you ever witnessed a fight at a bobblehead game?

We all know bobblehead games can get very feisty. I’ve been to games where there’s been a lot of pushing and shoving. A few years ago at Citi Field , some guy cut the line and 3 fans yelled out, “Hey Asshole, get the fuck outta here!” That has been the extent of any confrontation I’ve actually seen in a bobble line waiting to get through the gates.

I know the Cubs bobblehead game last year was a shit show as fans were screaming at employee’s for their bobbleheads because the game got rained out. I’ve seen videos of what went down that day and it wasn’t pretty.

I wrote this blog to find out if any of you Snipers experienced a fight and what happened. I’m very curious and I’ll be honest with you, I’d like to  personally see a fight. I’d love for a few knuckleheads to get bounced out of line. In the end, that’s just more bobbles for all of us.

Send me an email if you’ve seen a brawl go down.
