Motivational Thursday

Trust is like a piece of paper, once crumpled it will never be perfect again.

Trust is a very hard thing to believe in with certain people. I don’t care if you’ve been friends with your buddy since Kindergarten, if you can’t trust him or her then you don’t have a friend. I’ve been in several situations in which a few people have either lied to me or I knew I couldn’t trust them. It’s a shitty feeling and I’m not saying to cut them out of your life but be very cognizant of who they really are. I’m still friends with people who I don’t trust as it will never be the same ever again. I won’t depend on them for anything because I cannot trust them. I will continue to whack crafty’s with them and with a game, but when push comes to shove I will NEVER trust again. Once you lose my trust, it will never be perfect again. Trust is a valuable character trait and not everyone has it. For example, I’ve done a shit ton of bobblehead deals off of Ebay with other people and I always deliver. Yes, I have been burned a few times in which the other person did not ship me a bobble in a trade and I will never work with them again. It’s not my loss, it’s theirs. You know why? It’s because I know they will come back one day because I have something they want, then I tell them to fuck off. The bottom line is, if the trust you have with others is destroyed, it will NEVER be the same EVER again.

Motivational Wednesday

Help people even when you know they can’t help you back.

If you are a person who believes that if you help someone and expect a favor in return then your not a human being. By helping people who are in dire need of something or just being nice and doing a favor for a person, karma will reward you. You do good for others, one day your time will come. It’s the way it works. It’s the only way it works. Whether it’s helping an old lady cross the street or doing volunteer work at a shelter, it’s the right thing to do. I hate when people say, “You owe me”. Why do I owe you something? You helped me out and one day someone will help you. It’s that simple. People aren’t as fortunate as some other people and that doesn’t make them any inferior to you or me. I personally love helping people out. It feels good and it’s usually for a person who is struggling. Please don’t help people to get something in return, it’s not how you want to go through life. Without the help of others where are we in society? All in all, be a good person and do something nice for a person when you know there’s no way they can replicate your favor. You’ll sleep better at night.

Motivational Tuesday

If you have everything in control, you’re not moving fast enough.

What does this mean? It means that no successful person is ever comfortable. They are always working to become better at their passion and craft. I’m always looking for ways to improve. The pedal is always on the metal and I’ll never stop improving.   If you think you can relax and take a step back and think everything is great, you’re wrong. Successful people never feel comfortable. There’s always more work to do and there’s ways to improve in whatever it is you do. Now, I’m not saying to work crazy fast in which you burn out, but you have to remember there is SOOOO much more you can do. I have ideas for the bobblehead community that I can’t wait to get to and it takes time. It never ends and you want to make sure you keep up with your competition and never give in. If you want to be at the top of your game then you’re never comfortable. Period.

Motivational Monday

Never forget who ignored you when you needed them and who helped you before you could even ask.

Never ever forget that one person or persons in which you needed help and they completely looked the other way.  I’ve had many, many close friends who I thought I could trust and they turned their back on me when I needed them the most. As a result, they are no longer in my life. I refuse to associate with them as they mean nothing to me any longer. I would assume they would do the same thing to another person in which it won’t happen to me any longer. On the other hand, cherish and NEVER forget that person who has helped you without you saying a word. A close, close friend with recognize when you need them and they will step right in. That’s when you know you have a real good friend who cares about you. Never let go of that person and you can actually learn from them. Be the person they are and help other’s in need of help without them even asking. It goes a long way in life and these people are hard to come by. Like I said in earlier blogs, this world can be evil and people who help others are a dime a dozen. The world we live in this type of behavior doesn’t happen often. When it happens to you where someone helps you never forget them and make sure you are there for them.

Motivational Friday

When you talk, you are only repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new. -Dalai Lama

These days there are way to many “know it all’s”. I’ve learned over the years to shut my mouth and listen. Listening is a key ingredient in improving yourself. I sit in meetings all the time and I all I hear are the same attention seeking people talk and talk and talk. That’s what they’re good at. They love hearing themselves and typically they are very loud and annoying.  Next time you’re out in public or in a meeting, sit back and listen. Listen to what other’s say and analyze how they are thinking. You can ALWAYS learn and better yourself by listening to various people. Although, if that same annoying person is talking the entire time then try to focus on something more productive and block them out. They are annoying for a reason and you do not need to be a part of that. Then they wonder why they are hated by so many others. The key is to learn something new and improve yourself in whatever it is you do. Lastly, listening to successful people especially in your field is a gift, as you can learn endless amounts of information for becoming successful.

Motivational Wednesday

If you were able to believe in Santa Claus for 8 years, you can believe in yourself for 5 minutes.

Listen, I know what your going to say, I was 8 years old when I believed in Santa and I was a fucking kid! Ya, I get it, but you weren’t an idiot as you still believed in him until someone spoiled the secret to you. The point is, you have to believe in yourself to accomplish something that you want so bad. Avoid the criticism from others and believe that you can actually win at what you’re doing. Have the trust within yourself to go after what you want to do and don’t let a single person or a negative image in your head ruin your confidence. Believing in yourself is the first step in the right direction in achieving the success that you deserve.
