Bobble of the Day “Kentucky Wildcats” 8X NCAA Championship Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Mascot: Wildcat

Team: Kentucky Wildcats

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

So the Kentucky Wildcats have emerged as a BIG TIME college basketball program the past 5-6 years. It’s always been Duke, UCLA, Kansas, Uconn and second fiddle Kentucky. I swear, ever since John Calapari took over for Tubby Smith, they have catapulted as the top team in the country hands down. They always get the top notch recruits and I’m sure bags of money at these high school seniors doorsteps never happen. Hehehehe…..On to the bobble

The gents over at the Bobblehead Hall of Fame yet again knocked it out of the park with this exclusive. Where do you want me to start? The base is HIGHLY detailed with the UK logo and has the “Kentucky Wildcats” in raised white letters which is ridiculously vital. The 8 Championship title trophies are spread around the bobble like a Thanksgiving dinner. I almost feel like this isn’t even a bobblehead. I feel like it’s a statue in a exclusive museum in Italy. It’s got that much detail my words on this blog won’t validate how intrinsic it actually is.

Sniper Rating: Everything about this bobble points straight up to the sky. It’s Kentucky! It Calapari! You know they are a lock for the Final Four every single year. You know bags of money are exchanged but who cares! Every year this team is must watch  and so is this bobblehead. I said it before for the UNC one but thinking again, this bobble will sell out PRIOR to Christmas. If you know anything about College Bball, you know Kentucky fans go ape shit over their team. I’d score this quick before the Bobblehead Hall of Fame sells out and you’re stuck paying $65.00 and above for it on Ebay. $40.00 is a steal. Do it. Period.

Bobble the Day “Slider” Cleveland Indians “Headline” Mascot Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Mascot: Slider

Team: Cleveland Indians

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

FOCO comes out with their basic generic player and mascot bobbles each year that are numbered to whatever year it is. They are typically sold at every stadium and are easy to find. Some years I like them and some years they are just eh. This year, FOCO designed their 2017 “Headline” series like you wouldn’t believe. I’ve seen several photo’s of their players and mascots and I looooooooooove them. I decided to do a blog on “Slider” as I know there’s many Indian fans and Cleveland Snipers.

First and foremost, FOCO changed the base dramatically. The new geometrical shape is a longer oval design with an indented insert on the sides. I love it, as it makes the name of the player or mascot lettering that much more visible. The top of the base has a “Headline” newspaper design which is flashy as hell.

Sniper Rating: Thankfully, FOCO changes the stance of each player/mascot every year. This Slider is all decked out with the red shoes on, all pink fur and the Cleveland hat sits comfortably on top of Slider’s blond hair. No doubt this “Headline” bobble is 100% worth the $30.00 price tag at the Bobblehead Hall of Fame. Sneak over to their website and score this for an early Christmas gift for your diehard Indian fan!

Bobble of the Day “UNC Tarheels” 6X NCAA Championship Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Mascot: Rameses “Tarheel”

Team: University of North Carolina

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

I’ll get right to the point here. If you’re a College Basketball fan of any sort, this has to be in your collection. It’s UNC for Christ’s sakes. The building where Jordan started his career! UNC always has a top program and literally has the best recruiting class behind Kentucky.

This deluxe bobble was created by the guys over at the Bobblehead Hall of Fame and it’s laced with crazy detail. It displays the 6 NCAA Championship trophies. 4 of them rest on the top of the base and the other 2 in the mascot’s hands. The banner on the backside of the base has each year the Tarheels won a title which is a killer feature.

Sniper Rating: The base itself displays the UNC logo and the letters on the front are raised which you all know is a must have on any exclusive bobblehead. The box itself is two shades of blue faded in together. Very attractive box and once you hold it in your hand, you’ll know how special it is. A head turning bobble, this UNC 6X Championship collectible scores a stand up 10.0 rating. For only $40.00 and only 1,000 made, this will be gone by Christmas. How do I know you ask? Well, there’s a shit ton of UNC and college bball fans that will get their hands on this faster than the Tarheels win another Championship.

Treat yourself to an early Christmas present. Click below. You’re welcome.

Bobble of the Day “Dee Gordon” Miami Marlins SGA

Bobble of the Day

Player: Dee Gordon

Team: Miami Marlins

Manufacturer: Match-Up Promotions

Fucking Dee Gordon man. The guy steals a million bases and is lighting fast. I’m glad the Marlins had him in a sliding pose rather than a hitting or fielding stance as he’s know for his crazy speed.

So Dee is highlighted making a slide into second base in his Marlin orange jersey with black and orange matching cleats. I love the white raised letters against the black backdrop of the base on the front. Match-Up made it a point to add Dee’s sliding glove to protect his fingers and more importantly avoid injury. That’s definitely a feature over looked by many collectors.

Sniper Rating: This one is a “flashy” bobble which won’t take up to much space in your display cabinet. The box is flooded with bright colors and actually has all of the Marlins bobble giveaways listed on the side of the box. A very convenient feature for us collector’s to keep track of during the grind of the baseball season. The Marlins didn’t have to much going on this season but this Gordon bobblehead can change that by adding it to your collection. Dee Gordon scores a 8.0 and I wanna give a special shout out to my buddy Emmett for the hookup.

Catcher’s after awhile don’t even bother throwing to second. He’s that fast!

Bobble of the Day “Larry Bird” 3X Champ Exclusive Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Player: Larry Bird

Team: Boston Celtics

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Larry friggin Legend Snipers. Once again, the gentlemen over at Clark’s hit a grand slam with this exclusive. Bird is know within the basketball world as a top 10 player of all time. Given the time he played for the Celtics, he managed to win 3 World Championships and this exclusive bobble depicts those honors.

Larry Legend played most of his career in the 1980’s and back then they used to wear the oversized vintage sunglasses and short shorts. These two features highlight the 80’s perfectly. In addition to the shades and tight shorts, I dig the old-school green sneakers with the tall socks as that’s what Larry used to wear when playing at the Garden.

Sniper Rating: The main feature on this exclusive has to be the 3 championship rings on the top of the base. Bird and the Celtics won 3 titles and Clark’s nailed it with the replica rings. Each one has diamonds surrounding the perimeter of the ring and has either the Celtics Logo, a shamrock or a NBA trophy in the middle. The replica rings sure make the bobble pop along with the all green base and Bird’s name in white raised letters.

Clark Toys has created some previous Larry Bird exclusives, but this one takes the cake by far. It’s got a little bit of everything with the vintage look, to shiny diamonds and bright colors. Bird is an NBA legend and once this bobble sells out, it will become a legendary item to own. Larry the Legend scores a 10.0.

Only numbered to #750 on clarktoys.com as I suggest ALL Snipers score this one.

Bobble of the Day “James Connor” Pittsburgh Panthers SGA

Bobble of the Day

Player: James Connor

Team: Pittsburgh Panthers

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Coyote Promotions

This is a “feel good” bobblehead that was manufactured by Coyote Promotions and given out by the Pitt Panthers. If you haven’t heard of James Connor you need to check yourself at the front door. This dude had several, and I mean several 200 yard rushing games in college playing for Pitt. His sophomore year, he rushed for 1,765 yards and 26 touchdowns which is unheard of in college football. Unfortunately, on Sept 5th of 2015, he tore his MCL and was shelved for the remainder of his junior season. To make matters worse, while rehabbing, Connor was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and luckily was cancer-free during the offseason. A terrible string of events for such a promising player. He finally decided to forgo his senior season to enter the NFL draft and was taken in the 3rd round by the Steelers.

So, on October 14th the Panthers paid tribute to their once “stud” running back by handing out a bobblehead. As soon as I saw a picture of the bobblehead I knew it was a “must have” for any collector. The base is layered in “Pitt Panther” blue and has white raised letters on the front. Pitt’s logo is strategically placed on top of the base and is very visible. I love the fact that Coyote Promotions added so much detail to his uniform. The color combinations of dark yellow, Pitt blue and white stand out like crazy. The actual football he is holding might be the greatest designed pigskin I’ve ever seen on a SGA bobblehead.

Sniper Rating: If you Google search James Connor and hold up the bobblehead you will notice that Coyote Promotions nailed the facial features to a T. They even added a line in his short haircut which shows any collector that ALOT of effort was put forth in manufacturing this bobble.

Lastly, you literally cannot ask for a better looking box for a college football SGA bobblehead. It’s absolutely flooded with bright colors, Pitt’s logo, photographs of James Connor and a full side biography of the star running back. If you’re any sort of a college football fan, this needs to be in your collection. As previously stated, this is a true “feel good” bobble as Connor went through so much adversity to become the player he is today.

Coyote Promotions is definitely a manufacturing company to keep an eye on because if you remember the Tebow “Bobble of the Day” blog, guess who created that one? Coyote. A shit ton of detail and effort went into this bobblehead and without a doubt, James Connor and his Pitt Panther college football bobble scores a 9.5. Well done Pitt Panthers and Coyote Promotions.

Take a look at their website as they literally have every product you can imagine.
