Bobble of the Day “Noah Syndergaard” Weekend Nickname Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Player: Noah Syndergaard “Nickname” Thor

Team: New York Mets

Year: 2018

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

So FOCO continues the trend here in 2018 and now we have Weekend “Nickname” bobbleheads. Only the top players in the game with a flashy nickname have their own bobblehead and I just scooped up the Noah “Thor” Syndergaard one. There’s been many “Thor” themed bobbles that many of us own, but this one is special.

The base has a “dirt mound” look to it with speckles of tiny rocks that lye on top. Thor”s name is of course raised letters and are multi-colored. I love the fact that Syndergaard is in a different pitching pose as a lot of the other FOCO retails tend to have the same pitching position. The all orange hat clashes very well with his Met blue jersey and orange arm sleeves.

Sniper Rating: The most critical feature is obviously the name plate that sits on back of the base. The name THOR is bright orange mixed in with the Mets logo. I’m all about creativity and FOCO has done it again to help us collector’s improve our bobblehead collections. This Noah Syndergaard bobblehead scores a 8.5 as he’s easily within the top 5 “best” pitchers in the Big Leagues.

Go to bobbleheadhalloffame.com and there’s about 10 different players in this “Nickname” series. I’m not to crazy on some of the other players, but this Syndergaard is a must have.

Bobble of the Day “Lonzo Ball” Breakthrough Series Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Player: Lonzo Ball

Team: Los Angeles Lakers

Year: 2018

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

We all know the Lake show didn’t make the playoffs but we all know the talent and potential for this team next year. And of course, Lonzo Ball is the center piece of this franchise. And that’s exactly why Sports Fan Island created this exclusive Ball bobblehead.

This is a cocky item for several reasons. The look alike “Hollywood” sign on the back of the base says Lonzo Ball in raised white letters. There’s two California pine trees on each side that you have to manually insert yourself which is dope because you can twist and turn them into any direction. The famous Lakers logo is practically smothered everywhere on this bobble and the colors pop like a preppy collar.

Sniper Rating: The sitting pose Lonzo is in sitting down with the ball underneath his hand is fucking incredible. He’s literally enticing your vision of him and he knows he’s the real deal. I can’t say enough about this Los Angeles Lakers Lonzo Ball exclusive bobblehead other than the fact that you’ll regret not getting it. Love or hate the Lakers or Lonzo, he will ONLY get better and will catapult his team deep into the playoffs within 3 years. You heard it here first and get your ass over to sportsfanisland.com and score this beauty! Click the link below and tell them Bobblesniper sent you.

Bobble of the Day Gary Dunaier “Thumbs Down Guy” Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Fan: Gary Dunaier (Thumbs Down Guy)

Team: New York Yankees

Year: 2018

Manufacturer: Bobblehead Hall of Fame

Fucking Gary Dunaier. The guy is a diehard Mets fan and he attended a game between the Yankees and Rays at Citi Field due to Hurricane Irma. Todd Frazier strolls to the plate, clocks a 3-run Homerun and Gary was not pleased. As soon as Frazier rounded 3rd base, Gary greeted everyone with a thumbs down motion, as he didn’t approve of the HR blast. Instantly, he became a famous.

Big Gary is rocking a standard blue button down shirt with black suspenders attached to his pants. It looks like the big guy just left work and wanted to catch a game to end his day. I’m sure he found his way to the food court to score a dog and a couple of beers.

Sniper Rating: If anyone would give the thumbs down signal, it’s definitely Gary Dunaier. The whole chubby guy with suspenders, over sized glasses and full beard, just fits the image of a thumbs down guy. All in all, special moments in sports whether it be humorous or historical, should be highlighted with a bobblehead. And that’s exactly what the Bobblehead Hall of Fame did. Props to them as this New York Yankees Thumbs Down guy bobblehead scores a solid 9.0 rating.

P.S. I forgot to mention an actual “thumb” is the entire base. Killer creativity by the guys over at the Hall of Fame. Score this one and pop it on your shelf.

Bobble of the Day Boston Celtics “Lucky” Mascot Baller Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Mascot: Lucky

Team: Boston Celtics

Year: 2018

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

The Celtics have the longest and best winning tradition in the NBA by far, and yes, we also have the best mascot. Lucky the Leprechaun is the man and doesn’t matter what anyone says. Lucky is the shit and who wouldn’t want a leprechaun as their mascot? Just bouncing around The Garden for years, as he brings the Luck of the Irish to each game. Since we lost Kyrie for the rest of the year, we’ll need all the luck we can get.

FOCO, came out with a new 2018 series called “Baller Bobbles” and Lucky steals the show hands down. The base is a basketball literally cut in half with a bright green imprint of “Lucky” on the front. It’s got the Celtics logo as two stickers on the sides for extra swag. Lucky himself, is decked out from head to toe in Irish apparel. The yellow vest and bow tie with green clovers show how special this bobblehead is.

Sniper Rating: Lucky the Leprechaun bobbleheads are known to be very collectible and most are super hard to find. Celtics fan or not, this one needs to be in your display cabinet, as Lucky is a rarity in the mascot world. You just don’t see many leprechauns as mascots for a professional team, so this Lucky the Leprechaun Boston Celtics bobblehead scores a 9.4 rating without thinking twice. A super reasonable price of $30.00, look no further than scoring this at the Bobblehead Hall of Fame. Click the link below for a masterpiece of a collectible bobblehead.

2018 NBA Baller Bobbleheads (Presale)

Can Success Promotions go back to back with the SGA of the Year?

My first SGA manufacturer “Bobble of the Year” went to Success as they nailed the “Squints” Brooklyn Cyclones SGA bobble. It was perfect. Between the detail, lettering, and superb facial recognition, the Squints bobble was a no brainer. As we ease into the 2018 season of SGA’s, can Success Promotions repeat?

The biggest question we as collector’s have, is we don’t necessarily know who the manufacturer is until we look at the bottom of the base. Since I have pinpoint fucking vision, I can usually tell by a picture on a teams website. Another slight problem we face, is there is so many SGA’s this year, it’s nearly impossible to keep track of all of them. There is a shit ton of “Theme Night” giveaways for both MLB and Minor League. Between Game of Thrones, The Sandlot, Christmas Vacation, Major League (the movie) and Star Wars to name a few, it’s extremely difficult to keep up.

Early indications show that the May 4th Aaron Judge is in the running for the “Bobble of the Year”, and there’s more than a handful of one’s that pictures are not provided just yet. It’s going to be a long and exciting season and given the precision detail Success Promotions puts into their products, I don’t see why they can’t win the title again. We all know there are at least 4-5 top manufacturing companies that create bobbles for us collector’s and at any given moment, someone could knock a SGA out of the park.

Stay tuned as the reviews will start pouring in and we will revisit this topic OFTEN throughout the season!
