The National Deliman Is No Ordinary Frank

Nat Deliman is the official spokesperson for National Deli located in Miami, Florida. The company provides a wide range of meat products that include, corned beef, pastrami, hot dogs and salami. Their official mascot is often seen at events, celebrity sightings and at the local ballpark around South Florida. Whether working the phone lines at Nat. Deli headquarters or visiting children at local hospitals, his representation of the brand is inspiring.

I recently came across this very hard to find prototype bobblehead of Nat Deliman himself. His waist bobbles as he’s decked out in a foot long hotdog with mustard on the front. This prototype was manufactured by Alexander Global Promotions and it is currently unknown if this was ever given out or was available for purchase. We all know that within our bobblehead community that mascot bobbles are extremely collectible and this Nat Deliman is one steaming hot mascot.

The Bobble Hall Celebrates Curry’s Opening Night Triple Double

Stephen Curry and the Warriors marched to victory Tuesday night over the Los Angeles Lakers which included Curry’s first triple double of the year. No other than the Bobblehead Hall of Fame is here to honor Steph.

This new Framed Jersey series features some of sports biggest stars and mascots with their jerseys encased in a glass frame behind their bobblehead. Curry’s bobblehead features the point-guard making a celebratory 3-point signal on both hands with his #30 Golden State Warriors jersey in glass behind him. Curry had a career year last season, becoming the NBA scoring champion for the second time averaging 32 points a game. The two-time MVP signed a four-year contract extension in August that will keep him with the Warriors through the 2025-26 season, and he’s looking to lead the Warriors another NBA title after winning the Championship in 2015, 2017 and 2018.

“We’re excited to be releasing this awesome new bobblehead featuring one of the most dynamic players in the world as the 2021-22 NBA season tips off,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “Steph has been embraced by fans for his tremendous performance both on and off the field and we think they will love this new bobblehead.”

The Suns Look To Compete For A Championship With The Gorilla By Their Side

The Suns are looking to get back to the NBA Finals and their popular mascot the Gorilla is expected to lead the charge.

This new Framed Jersey series features some of sports biggest stars and mascots with their jerseys encased in a glass frame behind their bobblehead.

The Suns’ mischievous mascot was born quite by accident when Henry Rojas, a messenger for a singing telegram service, came to the Coliseum during a home game dressed as a gorilla in the winter of 1980. The arena’s security suggested he do a few dances underneath the basket during a timeout and the fans loved it. He continued attending games dressed as the gorilla until he was officially invited to be part of the team.

The Gorilla, who was inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame in 2005, remains one of the top mascots in all of sports.

Phoenix is looking to get back into the NBA Finals for another shot at the franchise’s first NBA title. The Suns lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2021 NBA Finals but have the potential to make another deep run this season.

“We’re excited to be releasing this awesome new bobblehead of The Gorilla,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “As one of only 25 mascots in the Mascot Hall of Fame, we thought the Framed Jersey Bobblehead would be a great way to commemorate on of the best mascots in the world and we think fans will love it.” Hurry up as the season starts today and grab your own Gorilla mascot bobblehead!

Make No Sport About It As The Bobblehead Hall Celebrates National Sports Day

MILWAUKEE –This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled a limited-edition Sports Ball Bobble Series in honor of National Sports Day, which is being celebrated on Saturday, October 16th. The first-of-its-kind series features a bobbling baseball, basketball, football, golf ball, hockey puck, soccer ball, and tennis ball. The special-edition bobbles are being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.

Each realistic sports ball bobbles above a base that is a replica of a baseball diamond, basketball court, football field, golf course, hocky rink, soccer pitch and tennis court. The name of the sport is featured prominently on the front of the base in gold. Each bobble is individually numbered to 2,021 and they are only available through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store. The bobbleheads, which will ship in January, are $25 each or $150 for a set of seven plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order. The bobbleheads are packaged in special boxes with the history of each sport on each box.

Here is a closer look at the status of each sport in the Sports Ball Bobble Series:

Baseball – The MLB playoffs are in full swing as the Los Angeles Dodgers look to defend their 2020 World Series championship – the organization’s first since 1988. The 2021 World Series is scheduled to start October 26th with a potential Game 7 on November 2nd.

Basketball – The NBA tips off its 75th Anniversary season on Tuesday, October 19th as the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks host the Brooklyn Nets in an Eastern Conference playoff rematch while the WNBA Finals is taking place between the Chicago Sky and Phoenix Mercury. The 83rd edition of the NCAA Tournament will culminate with the Final Four at the Superdome in New Orleans.

Football – The 102nd NFL season features the first 17-game regular season and will conclude with Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on February 13th. College football, celebrating its 152nd year in the United States, will hold its National Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on January 10th, 2022.

Golf – Shortly after the U.S. scored a dominating victory in the 43rd Ryder Cup, the 2021-22 PGA season got underway. The Masters returns to its regular spot on the schedule and will be the first major of the season when it is played April 7-10 in Augusta, Georgia.

Hockey – The NHL opened its 104th season on October 12th as its newest team, the Seattle Kraken, took the ice. The league returned to its normal October-to-April schedule with a full 82-game regular season.

Soccer – With over 3.5 billion fans worldwide, soccer is clearly the most popular sport in the world. FIFA estimates 265 million play the sport. The 22nd World Cup will be played in 2022 from November 21st to December 18th in Qatar – the first World Cup in the Arab world.

Tennis – Fans welcome the return of Wimbledon after it was canceled last year for the first time since World War II due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the first time in 2022, Wimbledon will become a 14-day tournament with matches set to be played on “Middle Sunday,” traditionally a day off at the grass court Grand Slam.

Recognizing everyone from youngsters to seasoned professionals, National Sports Day was founded in 2019 by Wale Rocks, who wanted to celebrate the athletes, families, and fans of all sports. The special day is celebrated on October 16th because every sport is currently in action in some form across the country. As far as celebrating National Sports Day, sports lovers can honor the day by gathering with friends to watch their favorite team, or by getting out and playing and relishing the challenge and physical activity.

“While playing tennis early this year, someone we were playing with asked whether there was a tennis ball bobblehead, which immediately got us thinking about a series of balls that bobbled since nothing like that had ever been done,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “We’re thrilled to unveil the Sports Ball Bobble Series and know these will make a great addition to any collection since they are perfect for sports fans of all ages.’”

A One Of A Kind Lakers Bobblehead That Never Came To Fruition

The 2016 NBA draft wasn’t as deep as many other draft classes we’ve seen throughout the years. Ben Simmons, Brandon Ingram, Jamal Murray and Jaylen Brown were the most noticeable players to get selected in the first few picks. The Lakers had the 2nd pick after the 76ers and had a strong feeling that Simmons would land right in their lap. There was much discussion about Simmons’ skill set as he was labeled a 6’10” phenom who handles the ball and passes like a point guard, can barrel his way toward the rim anytime he wants and creates mismatches all over the floor, both in the half court and transition.

Our friends at Alexander Global Promotions decided to pitch a potential contract with the Lakers promotional department as AGP had a very STRONG feeling LA would draft Simmons. They proceeded to manufacture a one-of-a kind Ben Simmons Lakers bobblehead, but as soon as the 76ers drafted the LSU standout, the bobblehead idea never came to fruition. They never sent the bobblehead to the Lakers front office and here it is.

It’s the only Ben Simmons Laker bobblehead in existence as seen on the bottom of the base that reads 1/1 original prototype. It’s extremely well made as Simmons is in an action pose holding a basketball in his Lakers jersey. Simmons is wearing number #25 and on the back portion of the base reads #2 Pick 2016.

Considering Simmons’ struggles as a 76er, maybe in hindsight it was best he never put on an LA Laker uni, but this one of a kind bobble sure tells a good story of what could have been.
