Bobble of the Day “Sal” Tru TV

Bobble of the Day

Actor: Sal

Team: Brooklyn Cyclones

Year: 2015

Manufacturer: Unknown

I’ll be the first to admit I haven’t seen one Tru TV show. I think I watched 3 minutes of one episode of Impractical Jokers then a commercial came on and I never went back to it. Apparently, it’s supposed to be funny as shit because it’s still on the air and a minor league baseball team did a series of the cast of Tru TV. The Brooklyn Cyclones came out with various characters a few years back and collector’s have gone crazy for them. I had quite a few of each cast member and they all sold on Ebay very fast.

All of the character bases are bright yellow with the Tru TV logo. His name “Sal” has raised letters which is boss. I’m not sure if this bobble pose is supposed to be a part of a specific episode but Sal is wearing black sneaks, blue jeans and a black hoodie. He’s holding a jar of Anti-Bac which must have happened during a show.

Sniper Rating: From not knowing dick about this bobble, I think it’s pretty cool. I guess it looks like Sal, although I’ve never actually seen him on TV. It comes in a standard white SGA box with bubble wrap; no styrofoam. I’ll be courteous to the fan base of Tru TV and rate this Sal giveaway bobble a 7.5.

Motivational Thursday

The smarter you get, the less you speak.

Sometimes you have to bite your tongue. There is no point in arguing with someone who wants to bring you down to their level. A strong person knows when to speak, when to talk and when to move on. They don’t have time for silly arguments with those lower than them. Make the other person sit with what they said. Leave them wondering what you’re thinking. Arguing is an immature move made by losers. Keep your mouth shut and learn more.

Bobble of the Day “Pedro Cerrano”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Pedro Cerrano

Team: Akron Rubberducks

Year: 2015

Manufacturer: Destroyer Promotional Products

Probably the 2nd best baseball movie of all time is “Major League” and only behind Field of Dreams. Many fans of the movie will talk about Ricky Vaughn, Roger Dorn and Jake Taylor. Let me tell you something, Pedro Cerrano makes this movie complete. The guy can’t hit a curve ball for his life, he prays to Jobu and he drinks the hard alcohol. What else do you want out of a main character?

The Akron Rubberducks have been bringing the heat with their bobbleheads the past several years thanks to Destroyer Promotional Products. Between the Rubberducks coming up with creative ideas with new characters each year, to Destroyer PP making an attractive, yet sturdy bobblehead. Everything from movies like The Goonies, Happy Gilmore and Major League. Their bobbleheads are made of high quality and have tremendous detail.

This Pedro Cerrano bobble is a must have in your collection. His stance is pretty basic but what makes this one special is the stare Pedro is giving the pitcher. Just like in the movie, He waits for the perfect pitch and hits a moonshot! The Indians lettering and number on the front of the jersey is raised letters which is always good and his name Cerrano is raised on the back of his jersey. The facial features of Pedro are on point and his helmet fits nice and snug.

Sniper Rating: The Rubberducks continue to use the same “homeplate” base on their bobbleheads and I LOVE it. It represents baseball and anything else would look odd. The Rubberducks emblem on the front creates a unique feature as I dig their logo. The team has a catchy name and their logo is even better. When you have a Rubberducks bobblehead in hand you can’t go wrong. A legit collector’s item and they will only get more and more creative over time. My only knock is I wish they would come with a colored, detailed box with photo’s of the Rubberducks logo, a schedule on the side and a picture of Pedro Cerrano right on the front. Now, that would look bad ass. In the grand scheme of things I won’t complain. Overall, the Rubberducks nailed this one and Pedro Cerrano scores a 9.5.

Motivational Wednesday

Train your mind to be calm in every situation.

In life, have the attitude of a warrior. Through every situation, circumstance and day to day struggle, remain calm. A warrior has complete control over his mind-no matter the chaos that ruptures around him, inside, he is untethered. The art of being calm amidst chaos is hard, which is why you must train your mind daily. Period.

Motivational Tuesday

Don’t be afraid to fail. Be afraid not to try.

Never give up on your dreams. I will always tell you to continue to follow your dreams. The path to success is never straight and perfect. It has many twists and turns along the way. Getting started is the hard thing to do. Take small steps everyday. You’ll be surprised where you are a year from now.
