Why Mets fans shouldn’t be worried about the pitching staff.

Why Mets fans shouldn’t be worried about the pitching staff.

Okay, we all know Harvey has huge question marks regarding the zillion surgery’s he’s had and the fact that he’s a blowhard doesn’t help either. If the Dark Night can stay above 92 mph on his fastball, remain injury free and keep a somewhat of a low profile and not get distracted with off the field issues, I say the Mets franchise should be ecstatic.

Steven Matz is not looking good. The discomfort in the elbow is never a good thing. Even if they shut him down for 3 weeks, I have a feeling once he starts throwing full bullpens, that discomfort will come back. Have the surgery and get over with Stevie.

The number one reason Mets fans should not worry is because they have two #1 studs on the frontline. Thor and DeGrom will almost certainly contend for 20 wins each, if healthy. They can be a number one starter on any team in the league and when you have 2 studs like these two, any fan should be worry free. Look at the Yankees starting 5. I can’t name anyone who is somewhat legit after Tanaka.

Finally, you will get at least 120 innings from Wheeler and that’s an added plus. From what Harvey looks like so far in Spring Training, the sky is the limit. All signs point upward for this pitching staff and as far as bullpen and the offense is concerned, you’re on your own with that assessment. Any Major League team would get on their knees for this young staff, so Mets fans,  be happy and more importantly, be confident. Your squad will go DEEP into the playoffs.

Motivational Monday

If you can’t handle stress, you won’t manage success.

I’ve said it a million times, you will hit bumps in the road and failures. If you cannot handle those difficult times and even if you do become very successful, you won’t be able to manage your successes! When starting from scratch, you have to be able to dig deep and grind through the tough times. They will come and your character will show if your up for the task! If you handle those failures and get back up, then you know you will handle the success when it comes!

Bobble of the Day “Magic Johnson”

Bobble of the Day

Owner: Magic Johnson

Team: Los Angeles Dodgers

Year: 2013

Manufacturer: Unknown

Magic F’n Johnson man. The guy goes from Hall of Fame legacy with the Lakers, to dealing with HIV to part owner of the Dodgers. What a baller if you ask me.

With the diverse array of bobbles that the Dodgers come out with each year, you know they had to do a Magic. I love the fact that the first thing you notice is Magic palming the baseball as one would think it would be a basketball. But no, Magic is in a baseball uni and this is a Dodger bobble.

The letters all around the bobble that include the base, the front of the jersey and his last name on the back is raised letters. I love how the Dodgers kept Magic in a “classy” look with the dark pants considering he is part owner. The shirt and tie look sharp and the Dodgers jersey just look bad ass. When I received this bobble a few years ago I had assumed this would look nothing like Magic, but it does. The manufacturer did a hell of a job making this look like MJ.

Sniper Rating: This Magic belongs in your curio cabinet. It needed to be in there yesterday. It’s got tons of character and it’s a former Hall of Famer as part owner! How often does that happen in the game of baseball? Magic in his Dodgers uni scores a 8.5.

Motivational Friday

No matter how big your house is, how recent your car is, how big your bank account is, our graves will be the same size. Stay humble.

In our current society, it’s very hard to not become jealous of what other’s have. I’m sure we all know people with million dollar houses a brand new 2017 Lexus and who have much more money than us. You know what, when we die, our tombstones will be the same fucking size. Who cares what you have. I know so many wealthy people who are pricks and look down on other’s who don’t have as much money. I’d rather make 20k a year and be a happy person for what I have then worth 25 million and be miserable. Money doesn’t always talk, your character does. Remember that.
