How The MLB Trade Deadline Can Affect Your Bobbleheads

The MLB trade deadline can be scary and great at the same time. Your favorite team can get some much needed help to push forward to make a run towards a title and at the same time your heart can be broken. We as fans invest so much time watching our favorite players and if they get traded it can really sting emotionally.

Given the fact that we are all diehard bobblehead collectors and if your favorite player gets traded, where do you go next? What if you are sitting on 14 different Kris Bryant bobbleheads and he packs his bags on his way out of Chicago? If you’re a Cubs fan, it won’t matter. Not one bit. The time you invest in watching your favorite team and player will most likely will symbolize a bittersweet emotion. For example, you know Bryant’s time has run it’s course and ultimately you want the best for him. Cubs fans will ALWAYS remember Kris holding up the championship trophy when the Cubs won the World Series. All of his bobbleheads will forever be engrained in your collection. Not one single Cubs fan will ever forget Kris Bryant.

But what if you’re the type of collector that collects all top players and holds onto specific bobbleheads that you want to trade or sell? Well you’re fucked. The value will dramatically decrease the millisecond he gets traded. To think the value will go up is the farthest from the truth. Past listings and being in the game for well over a decade proves this concept as the truth. A Cubs collector will not pay top dollar for a Bryant bobblehead if he gets traded. They will forever remember him but at the same time it’s a time to morn and move on.

The same thing happened to me when Mookie got traded. I still display his 20 different Red Sox and affiliate bobbles with pride, but I wouldn’t think twice about going after another one of his bobbles as soon as he landed in LA. It was time for me to move on but still reflect on what he did for the Sox.

In conclusion, if you have a ton of bobbles of a player who you 100% know will get traded, it’s time to unload. If you want to profit and not be stuck with inventory for years to come, you better head to the Bay and list them. If you don’t have any extras, then display those Trevor Story bobbles in your cabinet in Colorado and those will forever be sentimental items in your heart for what he did as a Rocky.

Just What The Doc Ordered-Dwight Gooden’s Bobblehead Has Arrived

Dwight Gooden, better known as “Doc” played in the big leagues for 16 years on various teams throughout his career. Most fans remember him throwing on the pinstripe Mets uniform as he debuted as a New York Met. He dazzled the New York faithful as a Met and compiled 2,293 strikeouts with 194 career wins. Through his most troubling years, Doc has now established himself as a motivational speaker and attends many events as fans pour in for support.

Kollectico recently manufactured an official Doc Gooden bobblehead for collectors to adore as he was definitely a fan favorite while in New York. He is positioned in a throwing stance ready to paint the black with a steaming fastball. The stethoscope hangs around his neck as the opposing hitter will soon get doctored up at the plate. The raised letters on the front of the base displays Doc’s name with his career 2,293 strikeouts.

This one of a kind Doc Gooden bobblehead is available for purchase at the Bobblehead Hall of Fame. This special piece holds a price tag of $40.00 and is ready to ship. Click link below to add the Good Doctor to you collection!

What You Can Expect With The Partnership With The Bobblehead Hall Of Fame

As you already know, the Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum have been in business since 2014. I’m not gonna sit here and convince you how much of a well oiled machine they are because their name and customer care speaks for themselves. They are by far the most reliable and trustworthy bobblehead company in the game. Period.

With that being said, since partnering with them, I myself and only myself have direct access to information not made for the public eye. For example, what new items will be coming out, how many quantities are being  manufactured of any bobblehead they produce(yes, they are as honest as they come) what new licensing partnerships they are teaming up with just to name a few. We have already talked about many giveaways, free gift cards and free memberships, so there is a lot to look forward to.

So from here on in, if you have any questions about anything related to this soaring company, message me. I’m here to help.

The Bobble Hall And Butler Blue “Bulldog” Their Way To The Top

This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled officially licensed, limited-edition bobbleheads of the Butler University bulldog mascots – Butler Blue I, Butler Blue II and Butler Blue IV. Bobbleheads of Butler Blue III and a puppy version of Butler Blue IV, which some have called the “cutest bobblehead ever,” have been previously released. The special edition bobbleheads were produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee and manufacturer of Butler Bulldogs bobbleheads.

Each bobblehead will be individually numbered to only 2,021 and they are only available exclusively through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store as well as the Butler Bookstore. The Blue I and II bobbleheads just arrived and the Blue IV adult bobblehead is expected to ship in October. The bobbleheads are $25 each plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order for orders placed online.

The Butler Blue I bobblehead is wearing a jersey with Butler across the front. The Butler Blue II bobblehead, with tongue sticking out, has a basketball between his paws and is wearing a Butler jersey with a ‘B’ emblazoned across the front. The smiling Butler Blue IV bobblehead is also wearing a Butler jersey with a ‘B’ emblazoned across the front. Each base has the bulldog’s name and Butler logo. The dogs carry the name “Blue” because that is the university’s primary color.

While Butler had many unofficial live mascots over the years, Butler Blue I became the school’s first official live mascot in 2000 and served until 2003. Butler Blue II had the longest length of service from 2004 to 2013. His run included two appearances in the championship game of the Men’s Basketball NCAA Final Four in 2010 and 2011. Butler Blue III (aka “Trip”) served from 2013 to 2020. He remains active in a behind-the-scenes role. Butler Blue IV (aka “Blue) was announced as the successor to retiring Butler Blue III at Hinkle Fieldhouse on January 22nd, 2020. At the same time, Evan Krauss replaced Michael Kaltenmark in the role of mascot handler.

“From Butler Blue I to Butler Blue IV, fans across the country have come to love Butler’s lovable mascots,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “We’re excited to be producing this complete set of bobbleheads for Butler fans.”

These mark the first bobbleheads for Blue I and II and the first bobblehead featuring Blue IV as an adult dog. The bobbleheads follow previous Butler bobbleheads offered by the Hall of Fame and Museum, including Butler Blue III and a puppy version of Butler Blue IV as well as a Butler Back-to-Back Final Four bobblehead featuring Butler’s costumed mascot, Hink. A limited number of the previous bobbleheads are available for sale.

On Wednesday, July 7th, 2021, Season 2 of the Netflix docuseries Dogs premiered. The hour-long episode features Butler Blue IV and Butler Blue III along with their handlers, Evan Krauss and Michael Kaltenmark. Filmed during the 2019-2020 academic year, the documentary chronicles the transition between the two live mascots and is now streaming to viewers across the world.

Why Day Of The Dead aka Sugar Skull Bobbleheads Will Never Go Out Of Style

The other day I had a long conversation with a good buddy of mine who’s a huge bobblehead collector. In the midst of discussing all types of topics relating to bobbles, I made it a point to highlight a strong feeling that I’ve had about Day of the Dead bobbles. I proceeded to explain that the myriad of Sugar Skull bobbles that we as collectors have seen the past 4-5 years has been enormous in terms of collecting. I made the statement to him that the theme of the Day of The Dead will never go out of style and will ALWAYS remain collectible for one reason only. It’s a sentimental cultural thing.

The Day of the Dead in Spanish (Dia de Mertos or Dia de LOS Muertos) is a cultural holiday. It’s been embedded as a Mexican holiday and is widely celebrated. It basically involves family and friends gathering to pray for and to remember friends and family members who have died. It’s more or less a commonly portrayed day of celebration rather than mourning. So in a nutshell, whether you are of Hispanic decent or not, people all over the world celebrate this holiday.

Collector’s including myself have been in awe of the Sugar Skull bobbles that have been given out the past few years and the theme won’t stop. It never should. Everything from the bright colors to the pinpoint detail of the floral designs to precision accuracy of the pearly white teeth.

If you’ve been in the bobble game long enough, you damn well know bobblehead theme’s have died down dramatically. For example, the Game of Throne bobbleheads are an afterthought, Star Wars themed bobbles aren’t as popular anymore and the Stranger Things bobbles were never a hit to begin with. With that being said, I can assure you Sugar Skull bobbleheads will live on as they are just downright insanely collectible. You can never go wrong with a Sugar Skull bobble that sits in your display cabinet whether you celebrate the holiday or don’t even understand the holiday.

The Harlem Globetrotters Are Here To Break Your Ankles

MILWAUKEE – The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has unveiled six officially licensed, limited-edition Harlem Globetrotters bobbleheads. The bobbleheads feature current Globetrotters Hi-Lite Bruton, Torch George, Hammer Harrison, Big Easy Lofton, Moose Weekes, and mascot “Globie”.

Founded by Abe Saperstein in 1926, the Globetrotters played their first road game in 1927 and have entertained more than 148 million fans worldwide ever since. In 2002 the Globetrotters were inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame for their acts of goodwill, commitment to fans, and nearly 95 years of innovation on and off the court. Putting on more than 400 live events each year, the Globetrotters are pioneers in popularizing the slam dunk, the fast break, the forward and point guard positions, and the figure-eight weave.

“We are very thrilled to be teaming up with the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters to release the first Globetrotters bobbleheads in nearly 20 years,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “For over 90 years, the Globetrotters have brought smiles to the faces of young and old around the world with their basketball wizardry and showmanship. Each bobblehead uniquely captures the popular basketball team’s athleticism, theater, and comedy, from their iconic uniforms to their dynamic action poses. “Spreading joy on and off the court to families is what the Harlem Globetrotters do best and this is a great way to celebrate that,” said Sunni Hickman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at the Harlem Globetrotters. “Thank you, National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum; it’s truly an honor!”
