Motivational Thursday

When things are going good, you gotta know when to drop the hammer. Push the petal to the metal. Strike when the iron is hot. If your company is doing well never ever settle. Pound it and keep going with new ideas and new forms how to create wealth. Being stagnant will only make people get complacent and stop buying your product. Always push more and more and more as other competitors will catch up and bury you. When shit is going well for you DROP THE HAMMER!

I don’t understand the Tampa Bay Rays Mascots

Listen, I understand that MLB teams have multiple mascots and for example here are a few for your taste buds.

Red Sox: Wally and Tessie

Brewers: Bernie the Brewer, Barrelman and all of the Sausages

Reds: Mr. Redlegs and Gapper

Pittsburgh Pirates: The Pierogis and Pirate the Parrot

And then there’s the Tampa Bay Rays- DJ Kitty and Raymond. I did some recon and found out the following.

According the The Rays MLB website Raymond is as follow:

Background

In early 1998, Rays scouts on a fishing trip in the Gulf of Mexico spotted a strange looking animal. The creature, apparently drawn to the boat by the smell of hotdogs on the hibachi, climbed aboard and soon won the scouts over with his silly antics. During the excitement, a scout had a brilliant idea: make this fun loving fuzz ball the mascot for the new baseball team. “Raymond” as the scouts dubbed him, immediately accepted their contract offer of all the hotdogs he could eat, all the high fives he could handle, and the ability to shake his groove thing to countless Tampa Bay fans.

Here’s DJ Kitty’s profile.

DJ Kitty’s Stats

  • Full Name: DJ Kitty
  • Birthplace: Tropicana Field (found out back near dumpsters)
  • Age: Nine lives
  • Position: DDJ Designated Disc Jockey
  • Throws: Down the hottest scratches
  • Catches: The beat, throws it right back
  • Bats: Are great delicacies

DJ Kitty’s Favorites

  • Food: Caviar, sushi, mullet
  • Songs: “Year of the Cat” by Al Stewart
  • TV Show: Josie and the Pussycats
  • Books: A Book of String Figures
  • Movies: “Diamonds are Forever”

I’m sorry. These two mascots for the Rays are fucking stupid. There’s absolutely no relevance of these mascots to the team at all. Rays scouts on a fishing trip in the Gulf of Mexico spotted a strange looking animal? And DJ Kitty was established by someone spotting him behind a dumpster at Tropicana Field? Come on Rays, you can’t come up with something else?

There’s a lot of mascots in Major League Baseball that are flat out stupid, but ultimately, mascots are to keep the fans engaged. How does a furry creature named “Raymond” get the fans hyped up? And how does “DJ Kitty” spinning the hottest tracks get fans pumped up when there’s barely 10,000 fans in attendance during home games? Doesn’t make sense and I never understood the reasoning behind these two mascots. I will never understand and for some reason the both of them really bother me. Raymond is a completely forgettable mascot and DJ Kitty looks like a thuggish punk. Fuck the two of them. If there’s any Rays fans reading this blog and you have any sort of intel, please let me know.

P.S. Don’t ask me why I have several Raymond and DJ Kitty bobbleheads because I myself, don’t even know.

Motivational Tuesday

I feel like this is such a dead beat topic and I almost wasn’t going to post it.

Guys, the beers and cocktails will always be there. I’m sick and tired of hearing how unhappy people are. How they don’t have this and that. Then, I see Instagram stories that they’re at the bar and toasting to the good life. You don’t want it. You really don’t. If you did, you’d be working and staying low key. The beers and the toasting come when you accomplish your goal.

Now, this doesn’t mean you can’t go out on occasion because you need some down time to unwind, myself included. Or, you can continue to go out and piss money away but I better not hear you complain and bitch and moan that you’re dead broke and you want what others have.

Bobble of the Day “Clayton Kershaw” Rancho Quakes Bobblehead

Bobble of the Day

Player: Clayton Kershaw

Team: Rancho Qucamongo Quakes

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Promotional Adventures

Another beauty from the Rancho Quakes here Snipers. This years Quakes bobbleheads are my favorite by far. They seem to out due themselves year after year.

I love the color combinations on this Kershaw one with the shiny silver base and the teal lettering. Those two colors pop like a mother f’er and they stand out in any collection. Kershaw is once again in his follow through stance as he’s throwing a 95+mph heater on the black. I dig the raised teal letters on the circular base. His beard looks dope as hell but I wish the mouth looked a little more like him.

Sniper Rating: In addition to Kershaw’s name on the base being raised letters, his number on the jersey and “Quakes” logo are raised. The Quakes didn’t hold back the effort, as it’s one of my favorites. The box alone gave me a stiffy, as it’s flooded with photo’s and advertisements and has a glossy coating to it.

Again, I love this year’s version of Quakes bobbles and this Kershaw takes the cake.

A hands down must have in your collection as the best pitcher in the Big Leagues. a 10.0 for Mr. Kershaw.

Motivational Monday

Really, how much will you fight? When you get knocked down will you get up and fight? What happens when some people start mocking you and thinking your plan will never work? Will you ignore those toxic people and fight for what you believe in? I was personally ridiculed for starting a bobblehead business and I got all the comments in the world. You’re a grown man selling toys, you blog about little dolls blah, blah, blah. I chose to ignore all that riff raff and block those people out for good. And till this day, I’m still fighting and ignoring those jealous mother fuckers. I never back down and never will. What will you do?
