Bobble of the Day “Kobe Bryant”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Kobe Bryant

Team: Los Angeles Lakers

Year: 2008

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

The Black Mamba! Kobe is the GOAT no question and either was his 2007-2008 season. Granted the lost in the NBA Finals to the Celtics, but Kobe did win the honors that year as the regular season MVP. Kobe dropped 28 ppg, grabbed 6 rb per game and dished out 5 assists per game to win the MVP.

This is one Kobe bobble that doesn’t appear often to the public eye. It’s also a bobble that doesn’t have any gold or silver trophies. The base is very thin and has the Laker purple and yellow colors. Kobe’s name is laced with raised yellow letters right against the purple background. The top of the base has MVP in huge letters, his number #24 jersey and the year 2008.

Sniper Rating: A standard Kobe stance just chilling holding his MVP award trophy like a boss. I actually would have liked if FOCO had Kobe in all-black sneaks, as that would have been fresh as hell. Overall, no complaints here as this one is a toughy to track down. Kobe’s 2008 MVP season bobble scores a 8.5.

Motivational Wednesday

You know you are on the right track when sleep becomes an inconvenience.

Now, I’m not saying you should never sleep because sleep is damn important. What I’m saying is when you put in the hours after your “day job” and you get after it and it’s midnight and you have to go to bed your annoyed. I wish our bodies would never get tired so I can work all the fucking time. My best work occurs when the sun goes down, my daughters are in bed and I can get to the grind. It’s what I do and for me to put out so much content is time consuming but well worth it. When your tired and you need to go to bed but you really don’t want to, then something good is happening and better things to come!

Motivational Tuesday

We live in a world where focus is more valuable than your intelligence.

I don’t give a shit how smart you are, if you don’t work HARD every day then the majority of US will succeed much more than you. Oh, you went to Princeton? Who gives a shit. If you are lazy sack of garbage and go through the motions at work and I’m staying late and working till midnight then I’ll wave to you when your at the bottom. Focus and HARD WORK is and will always be the key to success no matter how intelligent you are. Period.

Bobble of the Day “Stephen Curry”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Stephen Curry

Team: Golden State Warriors

Year: 2016

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

So this is the 5th Curry “Bobble of the Day” and I feel like it’s getting a bit old. FOCO is completely over saturating the market with Steph. Listen, I know he’s the man and the bright new star in the NBA, but theres at least 14 bobbles of him in some way shape or form. Another concern I have is the fact that Chef has another 12 years still left to play in the NBA. What’s he going to have 35 bobbles? Enough is enough.

The only reason this one surfaced to be a part of the Bobble of the Day is because it is actually pretty unique and I like it. The main feature is the Golden Gate Bridge on the back of the base. It’s got Steph shooting a 3 from half court and the colors are pretty bad ass. The base is circular and has the Warriors logo dead smack on the top. Steph’s name on the front is raised letters and in bright yellow as the backdrop is Warrior blue which is fresh. He’s rocking the all black knee pads and standard Warrior uniform.

Sniper Rating: My one review flaw (and it’s a big one) is the fact that he’s holding the ball right in front of his dome. You can’t even see his face. FOCO, you couldn’t have lowered the shooting form? It’s gotta be right in front of his grill? Major flaw. I actually think this error on FOCO contributes to the sales of this particular bobblehead. Trust me, a lot of collector’s did not buy this because you cannot see his face. Other than that, the Golden Gate Bridge in the backdrop saves this bobble. Chef Curry shooting bombs from the bridge scores a basic 7.0.
