Motivational Thursday

The best marketing strategy ever…..CARE.

Only thing you should do is care. Care for others. You want to grow your audience? Then why don’t you care what they want and ask them what they want instead of worrying about how many followers you have. Caring about the people who follow you will ONLY lead to positive things. Period.

What will the state of bobbleheads look like in 15 years?

So if we look 15 years from now, it would be 2032. New players will be up and coming and players like Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, Corey Seager will be soon ending their careers. The evolution of bobbleheads I’m sure will be as strong as it is today.

With technology rising like no other would think, what will bobbleheads evolve to 15 years from now? I’ve come up with a few ideas of my own and this is where I see bobbles in the future.

  1. Bobbleheads will move with the touch of a button. If it’s a pitcher, you press the button and the player will motion like he’s throwing the ball. A hitter will take a full swing. A basketball player will jump and motion he’s shooting the ball.
  2. We, as collector’s will be able to talk to the bobblehead. You flip a button, and you speak to the bobble. Technology will program in a set of responses that the player or mascot will respond to your question.
  3. We, as collector’s will be able to position a player in any stance we want. If you want Kershaw hitting, you position his body in a hitting stance using material similar to the character “Gumby”. If you want Manny Machado fielding a ground ball at 3rd, you position him in a fielder’s stance.
  4. We, as collector’s will have the ability to interchange uniforms, helmets, cleats and hats. If Bryce Harper decides to jump ship and go to the Yankees, YOU will have the ability to change his uniform from the Nationals to the Pinstripes of New York.

Money and pricing on these ideas is another story, but this is where bobbleheads will be in over a decade from now. You heard it first. Technology is evolving to dramatic measures and the future of bobbleheads will arrive before you know it!

Motivational Wednesday

Don’t dwell on your weaknesses, everybody else is already doing that for you.

People love to pinpoint your downfalls and what you struggle in. It’s just the way the world has become now. People love to see you fail because it makes them feel better about themselves. You don’t and should never dwell on your weaknesses. Your only way to grow is to move forward and capitalize on your strengths and fuck dwelling on your inabilities.

Bobble of the Day “Giancarlo Stanton” HR Derby Champ

Bobble of the Day

Player: Giancarlo Stanton (Homerun Derby Champion)

Team: Mimai Marlins

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Match Up Promotions

I love Giancarlo Stanton. He plays hard and gives it his all on a not so good team. This beauty is  replicating his Homerun Derby Championship. To my knowledge, this HR Derby bobble is the only one in existence. Off the top of my head I cannot think of another Derby Bobble.

Anyway, Stanton is repping the brownish, yellowish National jersey and it’s dope as hell. I love the pinkish/orange sleeve they put on him as thats what he wore during the HR Derby. He’s got tall socks on the have all different colors to them which look very sharp. Of course the main thing that stands out to this bobble is the HR trophy itself. A shiny silver chrome color that really pops as Stanton is holding it proudly.

Sniper Rating: I’ll be the first to admit that I dig the theme to this bobble. Big time. But there’s something wrong. The make and structure to it is awful. His left arm is barely glued in and just the whole entire body is not made well. I feel if this ever toppled over, it would shatter to pieces. Now I know this isn’t a BD&A or an AGP bobble, but Matchup Up Productions used shitty material designing this one. It’s super fragile and you have to be extremely careful handling it.

I love the theme, the colors, the raised letters and the mohawk looking haircut. But the fact that it’s made poorly drops the rating significantly. It’s not your fault G, but it deservingly gets a 5.5 rating.

Motivational Tuesday

If you lose someone but find yourself, you won.

Losing friends or people who you were close to is difficult. The memories you have shared with a person will never be forgotten. In reality, if you’re better off without that person and you’re happier then it must be done. Memories are all well and good, but if that person is not in your future then move on.
