Bobble of the Day “Larry Johnson”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Larry Johnson

Team: New York Knicks

Year: 2015

Manufacturer: Unknown

Anyone who remembers big ole Larry Johnson knows he was the fucking man and given the fact that his nickname was “Grandmama” because of the Converse commercials he used to do is boss. This bobble was given out to fans during the 2015 season at the Garden and it commemorates a huge play in Knicks history. LJ hit a 3-Pointer in Game 3 of the 1999 Eastern Conference Finals with under 12 seconds remaining and was fouled in the process leading to a 4 point play which gave the Knicks a one point victory. That play propelled the team to an unexpected trip to the NBA Finals as a number #8 seed.

The bobble itself is a shade under 6 inches and shows Johnson holding his left fist up to his right bicep as he did immediately after making the famous shot. The black elbow pad a a dope feature along with the scruffy facial hair that resembles LJ. The Knick colors are bright and really pop.

Sniper Rating: I love the fact that LJ’s name has raised letters and has a backdrop color of gold which really stands out. I’m not a huge fan of the “major energy” sponsor emblem on the front as it distracts the collector from the actual bobble but I guess they paid big money to put their company’s name on there. Nothing’s perfect right?

A huge play in Knicks team history and this is a sure fire homerun collector’s piece to add to your collection. Grandmama and his historical 4 point play scores a 9.5 rating.

Motivational Tuesday

It’s not about who has more talent, it’s about who’s hungrier.

When you want it bad enough you will do whatever it takes to get it. You will find a way through every obstacle like your life depends on it, because it does. I don’t give two shits that you have much more talent than I do. I will outwork your ass so bad it will make you cringe. No matter what it is you do, you have to be a shark and attack on all cylinders. Sooooo many people out there have much more talent than I do. But let me tell you this, I will for go going out on Friday nights. I will work on holidays. I will work until midnight 4 nights a week. It’s determination and will power. Are you hungrier than the rest?

Bobble of the Day “Steve Nash”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Steve Nash

Team: Phoenix Suns

Year: 2012

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

I really miss Nash playing in the NBA as this dude was one of the greatest point guards in the history of the game. Stevie Nash had the finesse as a sleek PG and a long range shot that was smooth as a baby’s ass.

Here we have Steve Nash’s Back to Back MVP (2005/2006) bobble. Never mind getting 1 MVP award, this dude did it in back to back years. It’s a crazy thought but it’s been done and Nash definitely deserved it. The lower part of the base is outlined with a sharp purple color and above the purple lies a bright orange color. Stevie’s name is printed white with raised letters which offsets the two Suns colors. On top of the base sits his number 13 along with the Phoenix Suns logo which is a dope feature. In both arms sits Nash’s back to back MVP trophies close to each shoulder.

Sniper Rating: I love that FOCO made Nash’s hair long as he used to rock that look for many many years. There’s no question this needs to be in your collection because given the fact that his back to back MVP awards is hard to accomplish, the fact of the matter is there are not a lot of Steve Nash bobbleheads out there, especially of him in a Phoenix Suns jersey! If you can score this one for under $120.00 then you’ve done well. Stevie Nash and his Back to Back MVP trophies score a 10.0.

Motivational Monday

You don’t get paid for the hour. You get paid for the value you bring to the hour.

Snipers, it’s not about the time you put in, it’s about the value you bring. I can sit here and create blogs and posts on Instagram all day long but I pride myself on creating value to my customers. I go the extra mile for people. I want people’s collection to grow and I love helping people along the way. Who cares how long you work, who cares if you work 55 hours a week. It doesn’t matter, what does is what you can bring to the table in helping others. Remember that.

Bobble of the Day “Kobe Bryant”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Kobe Bryant

Team: Los Angeles Lakers

Year: 2016

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

So I’m calling anyone out there that thinks different, but this is the KING of all Kobe bobbles out there. Period. Why, because it’s loaded with accomplishments and trophies up the wazu? Maybe, but more importantly, what else can you ask for on a Kobe bobble? I’m not going to list every award that is on this bobble because I don’t have time for that shit. If you have it you can read it yourself. My 3 year old daughter is blowing chunks and I just don’t have the time to list all of them. I want to pump content out to you Snipers and it’s just not necessary to list every fucking award he’s earned on this bobble.

All the awards he’s won are listed on the back shield which is a shit ton of them. Directly to the left is an image of the mamba shooting a J and it’s pure. Very good job whoever designed that image. I like the “all gold” base as it shines like the sun. On top of the base it says “24” to the left and to the right it says “Kobe Bryant” “Los Angeles Lakers”. I’m not a fan of this because there’s so many trophies and awards sitting on top that you can barely even read it. Coco could have saved us a little bit of money and did without the detail on the top of the base.

Sniper Rating: Lastly, the stance Kobe has is boss. Just standing there, arms crossed and looking up to the rafters in the Staples Center. He’s got the kind of look that says, “What else can I accomplish”. Well the answer is nothing. His million awards that stand on top of the base says it all. FOCO made is arms pretty jacked which he is and it’s cool as hell. The mamba and his exclusive bobble scores a 9.5.

*Bonus Sniper Rating: This was a ballsy bobble to make. FOCO definitely strapped on a sack to create this. With all of the trophies and MVP emblems, you are EXTREMELY LUCKY for this to arrive at your house not damaged. The breakability, if that’s even a word, is ENORMOUS. I hope that all of you Snipers that bought this for a $100.00 that it came in one piece. The 3 I got did but one has to imagine that something on this bobble arrived broken. Very ballsy FOCO, VERY ballsy.
