Motivational Monday

No one is perfect. Remember that.

Except for Matt Cain on the day he threw a perfect game, no one is perfect. No one. Do I fuck up? All the time. Everyone does. The real lesson to be learned, is when you do fuck up, do you learn from it? That’s the most important lesson you’ll ever learn. Everyone has their bad days and I mean everyone. It’s how you bounce back from those difficulties that define your true character.

Recap of Fenway Jedi Mookie Jedi Bobblehead Night

So we went up to Fenway Park last night as it was Star Wars Night. With an exclusive ticket, fans could obtain a Jedi Mookie Betts bobble. Only limited to 2,500, fans got the opportunity to add this beauty to their collection.

We didn’t hit any traffic until Downtown Boston which was brutal. Bumper to bumper which delayed some time. As soon as we arrived, the line to get the Jedi Mookie was out the door. We weren’t going to stand there like ducks, so we went to the Cask N Flagon for a quick pop. If you’ve been to Fenway and drank before the game, you know the Cask is the place to go. Tons of action and it settled the nerves after a long drive with a few beers.

We met up with another Sniper and he tipped us off that the Red Sox had recently put up a bobblehead display inside the park. It took awhile to find, but we got there. Very impressive collection as there were some old school nodders, minor league ones, current Boston SGA’s and a few FOCO’s sprinkled in. All the bobbles were sitting on a flat platform that vibrated so the bobbles could move. Very cool idea. It wasn’t anything like down in Miami and their display of bobbles, but the Sox are coming around.

We then headed straight to the team store to get the Jedi Mookie’s. The line wasn’t too long as we got right in. There were not to many BD&A boxes left as the majority of fans had already scooped theirs up. I knew these special edition tickets would sell fast and it proved to be right.

Overall, good trip and granted the Sox lost, we did catch a quick inning. With two young daughters, the bobble wife at home and responsibilities, we had to cut bait and head home. This was one of many trips around the East Coast that we will be making and it’s way to early to get burnt out.

Here’s some photo’s of the Jedi/Mookie trip last night. And by the way, that “Spend $100.00” and receive a Jedi Mookie bobble is a bullshit deal. I hope there wasn’t any suckers who pulled the trigger on that.

Motivational Thursday

Our prime purpose in life is to help others. If you can’t help them, at least don’t hurt them.

Don’t be a dick. Not many people are out there that genuinely want to help others. Now, I’m not calling people selfish but a lot of people look out for themselves. If you are in the minority and you enjoy helping people, but you can’t somehow, don’t hurt them. Don’t mock them or speak down to them. Don’t try and burn people doing business, it’s not ethical and karma will soon prick you right in the ass.

Bobble of the Day “Kyrie Irving”

Bobble of the Day

Player: Kyrie Irving

Team: Cleveland Cavaliers

Year: 2017

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

All this talk about Lebron being the greatest which he is, everyone always seems to forget about Dr. Drew. You can’t deny the handles Kyrie has and if it wasn’t for him, the Cavs would not have won the title last year. In this league you need a legit PG along with some other muscle to get to the Finals.

I already previously did a vlog “Bobble of the Day” on Lebron’s 40 point game bobble, so this one will be very similar.

Lebron and Kyrie both had that game in the Finals last year where they each dropped 40 points in the same game. Very tough accomplishment to do and this is why FOCO came out with these special edition Newspaper 40 point game bobbles. The base has their “40 Point Game” wording on top and the signature pose of Kyrie scrunched down with both fists clenched and him screaming.

Sniper Rating: I recommend if you have one, you have to get the other. This is a 2 part bobblehead set and these both need to be in your collection. Don’t just get the Kyrie and not the Lebron and vice versa. Who the hell knows when the next time 2 Hall of Famers will each score 40 points in a Finals game ever again. Kyrie takes a back seat to Lebron, but he is no slouch. Score this one before they sell out and they start hitting ebay for 80.00 or more. Dr. Drew and his handles score a 9.5 rating.
