I love Giancarlo Stanton. He plays hard and gives it his all on a not so good team. This beauty is replicating his Homerun Derby Championship. To my knowledge, this HR Derby bobble is the only one in existence. Off the top of my head I cannot think of another Derby Bobble.
Anyway, Stanton is repping the brownish,yellowish National jersey and it’s dope as hell. I love the pinkish/orange sleeve they put on him as thats what he wore during the HR Derby. He’s got tall socks on the have all different colors to them which look very sharp. Of course the main thing that stands out to this bobble is the HR trophy itself. A shiny silver chrome color that really pops as Stanton is holding it proudly.
Sniper Rating: I’ll be the first to admit that I dig the theme to this bobble. Big time. But there’s something wrong. The make and structure to it is awful. His left arm is barely glued in and just the whole entire body is not made well. I feel if this ever toppled over, it would shatter to pieces. Now I know this isn’t a BD&A or an AGP bobble, but Matchup Up Productions used shitty material designing this one. It’s super fragile and you have to be extremely careful handling it.
I love the theme, the colors, the raised letters and the mohawk looking haircut. But the fact that it’s made poorly drops the rating significantly. It’s not your fault G, but it deservingly gets a 5.5 rating.
