Anyone over the age of 30 should know who Jose Canseco is and if you don’t, go slam your dick in a door. This fucking guy along with Mark McGwire were the “Bash Brothers” in the 80’s and early 90’s. Yes, Jose led the league with most steroid injections in his ass but that was the steroid era. Everyone did it and no one got caught back then.
This Rookie of the Year bobblehead of Jose is the shit. He won the Rookie of the Year award back in 1986 after hitting 33 long balls to go along with 117 RBI’s in his first season. On this one, he’s in his open stance ready to jack a homer to the moon. The bright yellow and green colors that outline his uniform is very detailed and sharp. The lettering on the base and on the front and back of his jersey are raised which makes them stand out as opposed to just a sticker. His hair shows waves and is detailed nicely. His face doesn’t particularly look like him unfortunately.
Sniper Rating: I have one huge question regarding this 2016 SGA. What took so long to give out this Jose Canseco bobble? Why didn’t they give this out years ago? What the fuck? Did they want to wait the full 30 years to date when he won the Rookie of the Year award? Doesn’t make sense. I dig this bobble of Canseco and whether your a fan or not of him or the A’s, this should be displayed in your collection. Granted, Jose is hated by 3/4’s of Major League baseball for coming out with that book in which he sold out a shit ton of players for doing roids, this bobble makes it all go away. Awesome slugger, very detailed colorful box and sure fire Homerun stance, this one gets a 8.0.
