Tough question here Snipers. A fellow Sniper proposed this blog idea and I had to really think about it. Who would I rather allow back in the NFL? Johnny Manziel or Colin Kaepernick?
Firstly, when Kaepernick did play in his first 2-3 years in the NFL, he was good. He led the 49ers to the Super Bowl and lost to the Ravens. He had a laser fuckin arm as he used to pitch in college at Nevada. With all of his antics as his career went on with the National Anthem, it’s very hard to see him back on the playing field. If he ever stepped onto a field ever again, I think a shit ton of fans would badger him to quit. Now, what he’s doing with his so called “movement” is pretty incredible. He’s always publicly speaking and he gets a nice check every time he makes an appearance.
So we all know about Johnny. He came from money and many view him as a spoiled brat. Was he good in college at Texas & AM? Um ya. As of now, he’s easily in the top 8 of best Quarterbacks to play in college. The guy was lights out and a must see every game he played. But then after college, the partying started. The cocaine, the nightclub scene until 3am every other night, the whores that would blow coke off of his dick and the list goes on. He ruined it for himself. You can’t pull the shit he did and try to make an NFL career for yourself. But, I give him somewhat of a free pass here. He had the world in the palm of his hands. A huge celebrity and temptations you and I could never imagine. It’s VERRRRRY hard to resist those types of things when you’re 20 years old. I truly believe he’s learned from all of this as I haven’t heard his name on TMZ in a long time.
So where do we stand on this? I’m not asking who would do better, I’m asking who would you allow back in the NFL. In my honest opinion, I’d let Manziel back in. He was young and extremely immature but people develop and grow over time. I wouldn’t let Kaepernick back on the field because he ruffled waaaaaay to many feathers and I’d be concerned about his safety. Can you imagine him playing in Foxboro or Arrowhead? Those fans would run out with switch blades and slice his ass up.
