How comfortable would you be Sniping if allowed into a ballpark? That’s the million dollar question. Baseball is officially here but no fans as well all know and that means no bobbleheads at giveaways. Let me throw this scenario out for the thousands of collectors out there. Let’s say Rob Manfred allowed 25% capacity into the ballparks on July 23rd and for the remaining 59 games.
You know damn well if you are one of the lucky fans to get into the ballpark, you know you’re going to have to wear a mask when not seated watching the game. So that means sniping would occur as normal, before the game while fans are walking around getting food, beer and souvenirs. A mask is very deceiving as the fan you’re trying to snipe from cannot see your mouth or nose. I almost want to compare it to robbing a bank. You roll up to a group of fans, fully masked and propose if you can have their bobblehead. How sleezy and deceptive is that? I don’t care what you say, when a stranger approaches you with a mask on it’s very intimidating. More than likely, when you approach someone, you’ll have to repeat your sniping pitch multiple times as Karen and Betty won’t be able to hear you.
So how comfortable would you be at sniping if fans were allowed? Whether you have your mask on won’t matter as this virus isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Your chances of attracting the virus is highly increased if you even enter the ballpark at let’s say 50% or even 25% capacity. You gotta wonder, is it even really worth it? If you are fully confident and can snipe your face off, no matter what bobble you get, the value will instantly increase as many fans won’t have the opportunity to go the the game as many collectors have been sitting at home the past 4 months. Collector’s will pay top dollar as the access to these giveaways have just gotten that much harder. So how comfortable would you be Sniping bobbles at a MLB game if fans were allowed? One can only wonder…
