Bobble of the Day

Player: Noah Syndergaard

Team: New York Mets

Year: 2016

Manufacturer: Forever Collectibles

Noah Syndergaard was given the nickname “Thor” because of of his long blond hair and muscular figure. Why did it take so long for a bobblehead to be created of Thor with him holding the hammer? Was it a bitch to get Marvel to agree to terms to use his patent hammer on a Syndergaard bobble? It doesn’t matter anymore because here it is.

Forever Collectibles recently came out with Syndergaard ready to throw down the fucking hammer. Everyone loves Syndergaard. He’s the face of the franchise and he just has the look. The long blond hair, throwing 100 mph and striking out any batter in any lineup when he wants to. This bobblehead displays Syndergaard in his throwing position and most importantly holding his famous “Thor Hammer”. I think Mets fans have been waiting for this bobblehead ever since Noah threw his first pitch as a New York Met. The old school pinstripe uniform is total kick ass which brings back memories of the old Shea Stadium. The base is very unique as he’s standing on the pitcher’s mound with a little grass surrounding him. In addition, the New York City backdrop is seen on the back of the base which is definitely and added effect.

Sniper Rating: Syndergaard is the fucking man. He’s big, he throws hard, he plays in New York and his nickname is Thor. What else can you ask for? This bobble has it all but I think FOCO was a little cheap by just putting a sticker on the front to display his name. I think they could have engraved it as it would stand out much more. The legs could have a little more definition but overall a solid themed bobble. Limited to only 288, you better get this one before it runs away from the shelves. Thor gets a 9.0.
