Billy the Marlin is the shit. A famous Miami fish to be caught in the gorgeous water’s of South Beach and he represents the Marlins in fashion. Billy is always smiling and is there to make the Marlins faithful happy.
This mascot bobble is quite hard to find and it’s a special one. The base has the Marlins logo splattered right on top with a orange background around the perimeter. As you can see, the letters are NOT raised and I can’t understand that concept. I swear, every time I see a FOCO bobble with sticker letters it gets me more and more angry.
I love the pose Billy is in as he’s holding the orange bat and his left arm placed on his hip. The white jersey blends in great with the black base. The head of Billy is killer! A combination of silver, aqua blue, white and black colors really pop on this one.
Sniper Rating: If you collect mascot bobbles, there’s no question this NEEDS to be in your collection. The Marlins aren’t the best team in the league, but Billy is easily a top 5 mascot in MLB. Without further question, Billy the Marlin scores a 9.5.
